Can you fit this in your trunk?

Just finished my trunk and I am happy that I can FINALLY put something worthwhile in there.

I can fit that in my trunk along the back with four big O2 cylinders and six small O2 cylinders, and along the side my BPAP machine. plus 6 bottles of wine. It all depends on how you pack things . And yes it would be nice to put that bag the way you did but then my muffler would get in the way...Skip...

I visited our Saturn dealer in Belin, CT a few months ago, he let me put my biggest tripod in the trunk. This pod is 48" colapsed and 10' tall extended. I could put two of these in that spot and 2 of my DSR 200's
on the sides of gas tank. The rest of my video soft gear will travel in front seat with room for battery packs, wires, mini monitors and stuff used at gigs........THE VIDEO GUY tm http://www.esnips.com/doc/3f8a0571-c...f975dc23/01027 check out my picture

Theres no doubt that you can fit a lot of things in there (slim objects like tripods, tubing, etc.) I wanted to be able to fit a large bag like this and still have room on the sides for other stuff, while the top was down.

Trick question Eloy, and you're cheatin. This isn't a question of how effectively you can pack. How many cubic feet have you added to your trunk over stock with your trunk extension mod?

I haven't forgotten our last SoCal run where you agreed your trunk was the only thing not modded or faster than my car. Now apprently that's no longer the case.

hmm...I think you guys are missing the point. The wife gets the trunk and you get the exhaust! No more, "well the Miata has a trunk!"

And Skip, you missed the potential here for "Clear" running. Get this and you will have to repaint your car orange and rename it.

Stock storage space is 2.0 cubic feet. The problem is the wedge shape so there really isnt too much of an option. The box alone is 1.3 cubic feet so you almost doubled storage space.

We never did take a picture with the trunk full or what we fit in it.

But how we packed was:

1) Don't take anything "just because I may need it"
2) Buy small travel size personal items
3) Stack and roll your clothes into soft sided round bags (got two of these into middle of truck)
4) Use smaller soft bags that can fit into nook and crannies of the truck
5) Only one pair of extra shoes.
6) Plan how many clothes you really need, only one set of clothes per day (goes with #1 above)
7) Use space behind seats, if you don't have to have them all of the way back to drive.

The stacking and rolling of the clothes is the main space saver.

Yes my wife and I easily packed the trunk for one week and we bought a lot of things while we were gone... Top was down (and up--it rained one day!). There is a lot of room in there. Also -- once you have a weeks worth or so -- do laundry! If you will be at a place and need more stuf -- UPS...

Space bags, rolling clothes, soft round bags, small stuff, one pair of shoes...it still doesnt defeat the fact that its 2cf of space. hehe. I rather have 3.4cf than 2.
