Car show at my company

On the 3rd of July we had a car show at my company. I put my Sky in the competition. I did not win anything, but I did have fun. Someone at my office bought a White Sky RL this past weekend on the 5th so the car must have made an impression. LOL! Damn I wish they would have contacted me first so I could have made $100 off the sale as a referal.

Well I working for Mustang Engineering.

They only had classes for Ages of cars and not catagories. So all the Mustangs won. Same as the year before.

I don't know who does the judging is, but it did seem a little biased. So I am asking them with this letter to make it a little better next year.

I have been showing cars since 2002 and I belong to an International team. I have won some of the top car shows here in Houston and abroad. I have a vast amount of experience with show cars and judging. I have won best of show at such events as Extreme Autofest, Import Expo, Showoff Café, Import nights, DUB, Mean Street, Nopi and Nopi Nationals plus many more.
I feel to bring in more cars and competitors we need to have more classes and better prizes for the winners. I don’t currently know the prizes but from what I saw it just looks like a framed certificate.
I think prizes would be good for the winner I don’t know what type of budget that is being worked with, but we could seek out sponsor donations and give them advertising at the show for supporting The Heart of Mustang. Prizes like a free car wash, Grill, TV anything that can awarded would be great.
Instead of Hot dogs, we can have a company cater the event which would give them publicity and still give donations straight to the Heart Mustang. We can seek out companies to give donations of gifts and awards by advertising their products on the flyers for the show as well.
Understandably the car show would need to be better advertised to the employees. Getting an early start on advertising for the show would be important. It is my opinion looking for sponsors six months before the show would be beneficial. Example we looked for sponsors for a charity auction and we found eight companies that were willing to donate products, time, and or money for the event in one day.
I know there are many cars here worthy of shows that do not show. I feel that they do not think the classes are setup in such a way that it can be fair or impartial for each car type.
Below is a list of the car classes and terminology of that should be employed. Creating a great flyer after the we have verified the sponsors and what they will give then we should create a flyer to send out to the whole company letting them know

Show Classes
1. American cars 1984-Present
2. Asian (Japanese, Korean, others) 1984-Present
3. European (German, English, Italian) 1984-Present
4. Classic cars 1900-1983
5. Trucks
From the above categories we can have under each subcategory with the exception of Trucks and classic cars.
A. Sport Coupe (2+2, 2-4 door can be convertible )
B. Sport Compact (2 door 2+2 or two seats non-convertible)
C. Luxury (Any 2-4 door car designed for straight luxury can be convertible)
D. Roadster (2 seats convertible only )
E. Exotic (Anything with a value of 100K and up original purchase price)

The Classic cars can be listed (25 years or older)
a. Coupe (Sedans 2- 4 door , customs)
b. Sports Cars ( 2+2 Stock vintage sports related convertibles)
c. Hot Rod (Old vintage cars modified with big motors)
d. Muscle car (Big V8 classics of the 60-70, and 80’s convertibles)
e. Roadster (convertibles 2 seats only)
F. Exotic (Anything with a value of 100K and up original purchase price)

The Truck categories can be listed:
a. Off-road (Modified for off-road use, rock climbing)
b. SUV luxury 1990-Present (SUV’s designed for luxury)
c. Classic 1900-1983 (clean stock trucks. )
d. Hot rod 1900-1983 (Modified for racing at the track a street rod)
e. Street Truck 1983-Present (Street brawlers modified new trucks)

My company also had a car show about a month ago. We are a relatively small company (200 people) so there wasn't any divsions or categories.

The Sky attracted a lot of attention but didn't win anything. I can live that considering that it was sitting beside four corvettes, two cobras, and a restored '70 mustang (which won first place).

We had about twenty cars and about thirty harleys......and one tractor. Not a lot of work got done that day, but everyone had a good time. They set a grill and fed everyone hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch.
