The Solstice Coupe came like that from the factory.
The silver cars appear that way.
Some folks have gone with the blackout design
which further subdues the windshield pillar.
i like it too, i had it black at first but then got the paint from automotivetouchup.com to color match it.

The painted surround was intended to ape the alloy windscreen frame of the MGB (the pic attached is actually an MGC, but same bits on it) and I think I prefer the body colour painted look to the faux chrome the silver paint is intended to mimic. Maybe that's partially because my coupe came that way, but I think the convert surround is a bit wide to pass as a true memorial of the original alloy item, and the painted look appears pretty right to me.

I personally don't like it. If I was in the market for another Sky, I wouldn't buy one painted like that. I feel the same way about the wheels and door handles. I want them chrome, not painted. But, if I liked it color matched, I would do it and not care how anyone else feels about it.
Would like to see one chromed. Might be too much though.
Always wanted a pair of those kappasphere chrome domes too, but they don't make 'em anymore.
THAT would be shiny!
