Actually, I think the tee vee thing was cool. I think as long as you have painted the garage cieling black then the stars thing is consistant...or maybe you're going for a different look. But, no matter what, I think Barry is lost to us..beyond group therapy. We'll just have to try and cope. I think taking bets would be very cold. But..well...maybe not.

NO.... well maybe.... well sometimes, but never on a weekday... OK YES YES YES, even weekdays. Some might even say I have thoughts about "Sky" every 5 to 7 minutes.

I hoped getting it all down in print would be good therapy, but as you can see I'm having little progress. Guess it could be worse; I could fall asleep EVERY NIGHT in the Sky. LOL

PS - were you peeking under my profile? You naughty girl!!!

"Undocumented Feature"

I could be wrong, but believe I have found an "undocumented feature" built into the Sky... need to do a little more research to be sure.

Raining today in Virginia so it might be the weekend before I can be sure. Will get back to you.

I spoke to my Dr. today about my Kappauphoria. He recommended a enema to get the smile off of my face. I'm seeing a new Dr. tomorrow

That's fabulous Barry. What kind of person would you be if you really wanted to wipe the smile off your face? Hmm. What kind of person would you be if you wanted an enema?

Yep..It was cold tonight when I left the office. I zipped up my leather jacket and left the top down. At midnight when I left my painting pottery fun, it was EVEN colder...same story...topless. I am addicted to riding with the top down. How low will the temps go before I put the top up? I think this inability to ride with the top up is my manifestation of Sky addiction.

I ordered while he was out of town, and he did not know anything about it. When he did find out, he got a little bent out of shape. I grinned at him knowingly..when the car arrives, I figured, "He'll get over it." The car arrives, and he tries to act nonchallant. Hrumph, all that, you know. Then, finally, a gorgeous Saturday morning breaks...and I toss him the keys, "Let's go have bloody marys and brunch downtown.." He tries to look put out. We head out on the treelined backroads...he is fighting a smile. I punch him and say, "You are such a considerate man to drive me around in this beautiful car, top down, wind in your hair...I appreciate the degree of suffering you are willing to endure on my behalf". He is hooked, and itches to drive this car but pretends it is "no big deal". My point is, your wife already knows what is going on. We smile inside about these things, and love ya all the same. My husband thinks he needs to test the safety on my behalf, and wants to chauffer me to the office so I won't have to bother with parking etc. It is all good. He is talking about buying himself a Redline now, so all that male pride I pricked when I bought a big ticket item without his kicking the tires first and approving seems to have gotten under control. I laughed at your story, thanks for the entertainment. You'll be fine. Nothing a little air won't fix.

All I can say is that it is nice that you let your husband drive your car.... I think I've let mine drive a total of 5 or 6 times since I've had it and I have almost 9,000 miles on it.

Today might be the last time I let him drive it. It was like in a movie, and while he had a blast testing his police driving in hyperdrive, I was not pleased.

UNDOCUMENTED Sky Features

Raining today in Virginia so it might be the weekend before I can be sure. Will get back to you.
As promised I am now ready to present my theory, report a conclusion, and present supporting evidence (see Skywulf, I do follow through on my promises).

However, I need more data and I am soliciting the support of this forum to document additional observations. Furthermore, I believe there exist other features and we as a forum need to know them all. (Barry - I’m sure you have some of your own).

THEORY: The Sky has properties beyond those advertised and maybe even beyond those intended by Saturn.

CONCLUSION: This might also be presented as a warning - Be careful when driving your Sky, your actions could produce unintended results and as a Sky owner you have an obligation to use you Sky wisely.

SUPPORTING EDVIDENCE: The following evidence is the result of first hand observations and a complete review of submissions within this forum.

Hyper-attractive properties – This is “way more” than the normal magnetic properties we all learned about in school. In fact it has nothing to do with metal. It has everything to do with human attraction. The proof is when you park your Sky, it always attracts a crowd, no matter how far away by itself in a parking lot. If you are not around to observe this feature yourself, you can see the result of this phenomenon by the collection of face prints on the windows.

Ability to improve human hearing – At first I thought this feature would work when a Sky was running and it attracted a crowd as a result of its low frequency rumble. But I can report that even with the Sky turned off, the male ear can hear the click of the hood release from a mile away. Try it - open the hood and wait, they’ll come and start asking questions

Time warp – I experienced this one, watched Barry go through it, and then starting finding others throughout the forum that fall into this same “Time Warp”. Upon delivery of a Sky, owners lose track of at least one week of their life and remerge on the other side with a physical change – a permanent smile.

Physical alternations of others – Unlike above, if you are near a Sky but not in it, the result is often completely different physical changes. This includes jaw dropping stares, the uncontrolled urge to ask what kind of car it is or state they didn’t know Saturn built a sports car. If they are in another car, it is possible their driving skills will be impaired and they could loss concentration on driving. Pointing seems to be a common response and it is sometimes accompanied by tugging on a spouses elbow. In extreme cases, and these are the ones I feel really bad about, I can see them mouthing “I want one” – poor souls!!

So as you can see, be careful out there, you are driving more than a Car. R1chy

They still say,"That's a SATURN?"...I confess I love washing my Sky. She got tree sap on her last nite when we parked under a tree at a party last nite. Oh darn, I have to go wash her again.

Acorns from above

Skywulf - Tree sap is bad, but at least you can work it out. Falling acorns top my list of hazards (with hail being up there too).

There is a traffic light near our house and from past experience I know to avoid the right lane at the light due to the oak tree that over hangs it. In the fall it is really funny to watch the occupants of cars parked in this lane when an unexpected acorn lands on the hood of their car. Even funnier is when one lands on their roof and they have no idea what just happened.

Guess the last laugh was on me. The other day I found myself tooling along with the top down listening to tunes, when absent mindedly I found myself stopped in that same right lane. Panic set in real quick - the light JUST turned red and there was a car in front of me so my usual escape route, of turning right on red, wasn’t there. About this time a car pulled in beside me and another close behind me. What to do, what to do? Nothing!! I just stared up at the branches above me and for what seemed like hours I prayed the wind wouldn’t come and set a cascade of acorns down at our Sky. All kinds of things raced through my mind, like what would I do if a squirrel appeared in the branches? Could I put the Sky into park, reach out and catch any falling acorns? What if I blew my horn, would the other cars see my situation and move? I was sooo focused and only when the care behind me beeped did I notice that the light turned green. Needless to say I tested the Sky’s 0 to 60 mph spec.

I would like to say that from this experience I have changed my ways. And even thought there might be something to the new show “My name is Earl” and his “karma” thing, I doubt this experience has taught me anything. Most likely I will continue to be entertained by watching others get pelted with acorn, but you can be certain that I’m in the left lane at that intersection from now on.

After 6 months of Sky ownership, and I am soo glad I'm not married and don't have to share my Sky with anyone else He'd definitely have to buy his own!!

Once I did have to park under an oak tree, but thank goodness they were small acorns, and only one or 2 were in my seat when I got back in. I'm more concerned about possessed squirrels (like the one that attacked that guy on the motorcycle) and bluejays that like to peck at my side mirrors! They fly down and sit on the side of my Sky, see themselves in the mirror and go to town! I have to put my cover on as soon as I get out of the car!! Maybe they'l
