Copy Cat!

Looks like one of my favorite style elements of the sky has been copied by Land Rover. The say that imitation is the ultimate form of flattery. I know that new good looking Buick SUV also has some chrome hood vents but I will let it slide since its a GM and they look a lot different from ours. I guess our sky has made the chrome hood vents popular. Before the sky I don't recall any modern car having chrome hood vents.

Who would have ever thought that a Saturn vehicle would ever be a trendsetter

You're right, no modern cars with top hood vents like the Sky's buttt.... many cars with louvered vents like the Dodge Viper etc. You would have to go back to the sixties and further. Not a new idea as this photo shows of a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. I used to have this same car in dark green metallic with aftermarket chromed top vents. Many vintage euro cars with them too. Cool feature.

Yeah I figured the older cars may have had them since they were chrome, tail fin and vent crazy back in the days. I was just to lazy to do the research lol
