I still see a few Mustang IIs around. Guess they turned out to be the more durable of the Pinto platformed cars.

I was about to post what a childish, arrogant thing to post, then I saw it was posted by a child......Figures. Kids today are so F'in spoiled, they think it is simply a difference in decision wether to buy a $32K car of a $60K car, never mind the fact that some can afford either and STILL choose the SKY because they liked it better.
All I can say to your nephew is, with your perspective of life you are in for a shock when you cannot afford a house or gas, no less a car nearly as good as a SKY or Corvette. I feel sorry for the generation coming out of high school in the next 5 years, by the time you get past the $50K a year school loans and the $50K weddings, you will be starting life so far in the hole, you will be 45 by the time you can afford to even start thinking about a starter house, that will probably cost about 2Million by then! Good luck with your attitude adjustment ..... freaking brat! ![]() |

However, I employ user login accounts for the machine itself, so everyone gets their own account and keeps out of everyone else's business. And I operate everyone (including myself) on restricted accounts. So, no one has access to my accounts unless they know my PC account password...or I fail to logoff ![]() Now, some reflection: The kid is 15. This is the lesson stage in life. Don't be too hard on him, but use it as a learning experience. The best mistakes to make when you're 15 are those where you learn a valuable lesson without hurting or killing yourself or someone else.

What's the Point?
Having owned one of the first SKY's, both N/A & Turbo, I respect the cars for what they are, great cars for what they were designed for.
Granted I have since traded them in for Corvettes, it still doesn't less'n my respect for them. Both cars are great in there league's, that being said, C6's are great , but do not hold a candle to my C6Z, (555.6 rwhp/485.5 rwtq), try that on for size ![]() As for being a man, drive a C6Z06, makes a C6 likes a child's toy ![]()

When I returned to the States from Southeast Asia in 1970, I was making about $350 a month in the Air Force. The Pinto's base price was $1919. So I bought a 71 Pinto. It had 97,000 miles on it when I sold it, had been hit from the rear twice and did not explode. After I got out of the AF I bought a 75 Ford Elite, because I had had such good luck and service from the Pinto. The Elite and its electronic ignition made me walk more than any car I've ever owned. Never owned another Ford.

The Sky is gone and was replaced by a Corvette LS7 C6 zo6 ... Our main reason was space and the fact that the Vette is an american Icon the Sky has a bit to go to catch can up to the vettes status.Refinement The Sky is a Gr8,cute car for the money however my particular SKY was a service department queen. I'm surprised the aftermarket has not stepped up a bit more as well. GO DRIVE ONE
N-joy the parts y'all |

I HAVE driven Corvette's, Ferrari's,, Porsche, etc. I was considering either a Mercedes Convertible or a Corvette because I could not find anything that really "tripped my trigger" - BUT then I saw that Sky sitting up on that turntable before they were for sale. It took me 21 months to get my RL and it was well worth the wait. I have something that is somewhat unique. FYI: every car model ever made will have it's share of "service department queens" - even Corvettes.

The only Vette I'd be interested in getting is the ZR1. But I don't have $100 grand laying around so unless I win the mega millions I won't be getting one anytime soon. Besides I love my Sky and would still keep it even if I had money to burn!
