I used my CSI crime fighting skills today. A truck was found in our parking garage with a flat. When the officer took a closer look he found that the truck was stolen the stereo gutted and other things. The seats were all leaned back like someone was sleeping instead of driving.
Well the flat tire was on a big 24" Chrome rim which had been driven into the our garage and the rim left a mark on the ground whereever it rolled. So you could follow the trail back to origin.
I followed out of our garage down the wrong side of the street into a gas station back down the correct side of another street and into a parking lot. There I found where the wheel mark started. I could see the tires impressions left in the new concrete of the parking lot where a wrecker had dropped the truck off then the person got in the truck and drove it that weird way to our parking garage where they I guess stripped out the stereo and goodies and took off.
Well the cops said the truck was stolen from the north side and the only way to get to the parking lot they came into was to go through a light with cameras that have full time monitoring.
So the evidence will show the tow truck pulling the truck probably on two cameras the tow truck will be identifible not only by the picture and plates, but by tire brand and tread type as well. With the traffic light cameras and traffic cameras everywhere now crimals stealing cars have no place to hide anymore.
So these crimnals are busted. Criminals are so dumb.
