Cup Holder Poll

Been awhile since I started a poll ... yea, right ... Anywho, since I almost spilled my coffee on the way to work today as the cup nearly went flying out of the passenger side cup holder I thought I might see how the rest of you feel about the subject

Woops, probably missed an option in the poll so if your fine with the cup holders the way they are just post a reply and say that.

Oh and I think someone could make a fortune with one that hangs on the front seat pouch and goes to the floor that keeps your drink between your legs ... are you listening aftermarket guys?

um... I can imagine a couple issues with this one...

Speed bumps could be a severe problem if the cup was full!!!

BUT - I'm sure that it would be okay if we wore protective clothing...

I just never use the one on the side honestly too worried it will break off. Heck I am on my second one of those and it was because the dealership actually broke it when replacing the clutch assembly!LOL

Having never used any of the cupholders, my first inclination would be to nuke them all.

I decided the one that can definitely go is the passenger knee banger. It pops open every time the passenger's knee brushes against it. It's flimsy, and questionable.

As for the waterfall holders, I might use them some day and I no longer elbow them open.

When I drive, I like to explore the limits of grip as the opportunity presents itself. Suffice to say, having a cup in any of the cupholders during such an exploration is...well....problematic at best.

In any case, I have a 'water only' rule in all my cars. In my experience drinks will ALWAYS spill sooner or later. ALWAYS....sooner or later...it WILL happen.

Edit: What would really by nice is a removable net with tie down anchors on the passenger floorboard.

Never use the ones on the waterfall. I do use the passenger side one to carry my water bottle which fits just right in the holder. I don't have any issues with the cup holders....Skip....

Already have had passenger side replaced (also resulting in console cover being replaced)--don't use it much except for half-pint water bottle (anything more and you're asking for trouble). Guess waterfall feels slighted since i rarely use it--often find it open when i open the door in the morning.

I just had my front cup holder replaced while getting the rear seal work done. I never use them, but my son’s back pack was against the passenger side cup holder and pushed it all the way in.

I would rather not have any cup holder.

something about driving with a hot cup of joe between your legs makes me fear driving next to you.... im trashing my pass side cup holder because every time i have a passenger they break it with their leg. as for the water fall cup holders im making it into a ipod station.... a bottle of water or Gatorade in the glove box is good enough for me

Me too for my coffee. Right up to the day that it broke in half with a latte in it.

I don't use any of them (a self-imposed "no liquids" in the SKY rule), but I'm still annoyed by the waterfall holder popping open by itself all the time.

The only time my passenger side cup holder pops open is when I take my mom for a ride... she's a bit on the heavy side... No, I'm not being mean, just honest... my guess is that when you've got heavier people with wider legs they tend to bump it more often. Never had that problem with any of my dates or friends riding shotgun.

The center column cup holders are a different story though... those things are always popping open accidentally.

I never used the holders in the waterfall - too close to my elbow. I used to live by the one in the passenger side footwell, but alas - after 20,000 miles it has been knocked loose and I haven't had it repaired yet.

My current solution - which works GREAT by the way - is to place my beverage in the Kaparoo pouch on the driver's side front seat. The pocket size is PERFECT to hold a 1-liter Diet Pepsi! (I am now drinking out of bottles versus cans to support this.)

Get the Kapparoo pouch from Kappasphere. Perfect!

I don't have a gearshift at my coffee pot or bar -- don't want a cup holder in my car. . .

I despise all of the cup holders in the Sky. They are all cheaply made, and as previously noted the waterfall cup holder pops open on it's own far too frequently. I'd rather have no cup holder than the embarrassing existing ones.
I can't post on the poll as I'm a newly registered member, but that's my 2 cents nonetheless

I've already had the passenger cup holder fixed once. It's very flimsy. Thank goodness its warranty work. I'm not one to say 'do away with cup holders' though. I need a place to put my beer JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!
