Is it dark enough yet

hey everyone. I know this has been adressed before but why does it take so long for the instrument to light up? Is there a way to do something about it?

I would assume it is kept in your garage. If so, the auto lights turn on thus making your radio and such very dim. When you roll out of your garage and the outside light hits it, after a few minutes the auto lights turn off and your instruments and radio get brighter.

Does that help or have I missed the target?
