Dash Kit?

I am thinking about buying a dash kit. White of course. Does anyone one know the best place to buy a dash trim kit? I found one for 240.00 including shipping. It's a 51 pcs. Does not include the door trim. Is there anything cheaper? Thanks T.

Do not go with Wooddash experts. There kits are crap at least the Real carbon fiber one that I got is. The weave is all messed up and the sides of the kit are not smooth and straight but edgy and messed up.

The worst $300 investment I have ever spent money on.

I have kits from TrimKing on eBay long since gone, but the real carbon fiber kit I have for my RSX is still perfect edges are straight and smooth and the fit is second to none. The kit is 6 years old and still looks like it was put on yesterday. I only spend $250 on that kit.

There is another site that is selling the same kits that Wooddashexperts.com. I would recommend a local shop with a guarrantee Woodashexperts would not give me a refund and sold me crap not once, but twice. They are a shadey operation.

I know compdoc777 had a bad experience with wooddash and it's unfortunate. My kit from them was fine. It was the simulated carbon fiber kit. My issue was I just didn't like some of the pieces, particularly the trim around the air conditioner vents (on the black piece) and the pieces around there on the dash. Ohh and also the trim around the glove box. To me the pieces just didn't look right on there and you could tell it was some phony stick on stuff.

There are other pieces that look great like the door trim, pieces around the key hole and air vents on the top side of dash. The glove box cover piece looks good. So out of the $200 + I spent for the entire kit I got about half that I liked and kept on and the other half I took back off.

I am thinking about buying mine from trim4car.... They are from NY. If it looks bad I'll drive down there and give them Hell. The only thing bad is, I have to buy the door panel separate. Hmmmmm T.

I would tread lightly with the dash kit...u may not like it...it is very subjective and it doesn't always come out or appear the way you imagined it would..it is a hard call at best. I looked at my glove compartment and the piece on the side of the glove box...it is not perfectly aligned...u may want to look at yours...if u select the wrong pattern, u may find yourself unhappy. Just a thought.

I too used WoodDashExperts and had 1 issue. The edges are not bad and I got the "Real Red/Black/ Carbon Fibre Kit" It was not cheap, but I love the look. I had a couple pieces with a defect, I called Stephen R and ext 89 and he was great, He sent me new pieces sight unseen in a week and all was well.

I only used part of the kit, the whole thing was TOO MUCH in my opinion. T, I think you would hang yourself trying to put it on, once it touches you will wreck it trying to remove it......THERE IS NO REDO, unless you buy a whole new kit. To come out good, it is not as simple as people think.

Took me about 4 hours and I put masking tape, doubled over, on the back and put the pieces up on the dash (in position) to check fitment and see which ones I wanted to use FIRST. Then you need to clean the dash with alcohol and use adhesive promoter before adhering. You also need to figure out how to work from the critical fit points...out.

This will be the next drama in your life, choose wisely!

In my opinion, the white will look very cheap, but the Silver Wire CF (RSWCF), would really look awesome on your car ...........see

I would hate to see you pull your hair out and get crazy, it just takes a ton of patience and a really steady hand. If you go to the Hamptons meet I will show you my kit and explain!

No, the meet this Sunday on LI, I thought you were going with Mark?

Anyway, no my dad left his, but was thinking about a wood kit since he has the tan top and interior. But with white and black, you need to go high tech. Trust me white would look cheap. I will show you if you come on Sunday.

PS The Hudson Valley Run is late October for autumn leaf watching!

I am confused AGAIN!!! Of course I am going to the trip this week-end. What was I thinking. I guess I have been on to many trips in a row. See you then.

Wood would look great on your dads! I am really thinking about silver wire. Is that the same as the black and white. I really like the Silver wire. I haven't seen that one before. I just love it and the price is good. T.

The place I went through cuts for nearly everyone else! So you are more than likely buying their kit marked up unless you are buying through the place I went. I found no one less expensive and most places use the very same layout (even the 51 piece set) because one place does all the cutting

JPM is excellent. But of course, top quality leather and craftsmanship is not cheap!
