DashKits

What do you think about this Saturn Sky Wood Dash kit?

Are there other sites that provide really nice kits?

It's a matter of personal preference but to me, wooden dash kits belong in luxury cars and conversions vans and not in sports cars.

This would look great in a green sky with a tan top, A nice classic look. I do not think it would work with the chili pepper red or the yellow.

I agree about wood in a luxury car and not a sports car.
In Sunni1 - I am going Real Brushed Aluminum. I am sticking with the yellow/silver mix and trying to avoid yellow/black and yellow/chrome

I see you're from NJ. In the south, Dash is a verb. When I see Wood Dash Kit I think..."Prefab Outhouse".

Keep those Wood Dash kits out of the Sky. Unless you need to do some long driving without any stops.

I've seen a wood dash kit in a green SKY with tan/black interior - it looks SHARP!

I purchased the Brushed Aluminum complete kit, which includes the doors. Did it myself.
I did not install all the pieces, I did what I thought I would like only.
Love the effect it gives.

Carbon fiber replacement pieces are probably the only thing I would use. Wood is completely out of the question however.

I installed the Red/Blk Carbon Fibre Kit last year.....THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!! Everyone that saw these pictures then saw it in person was amazed at how subtle it was in comparison to the pics!

You have the same interior as I do and red/black looks great. Where were you able to find that kit?

Didn't MG or Triumph also have leather head gaskets at one time?

Great, Good luck. The install is fun if you allow enough time and like detail work. Took me about 4 hours, some pieces around the center cluster need trimming. Test fit all pieces before cleaning area and peeling of backing!!

Start in the center and work your way out.

With those pieces just gluing on, is there a longevity problem where the pieces start to peel at the corners? And how have they held up in the heat?

I'd be afraid to put them in my car and come out and find a bunch of stickers laying on the floormat. (I'm not bagging on the product. I'm just wanting feedback from someone who has used them as to how they're holding up.)

I have not had an issue, I had them all last year, left the car in the sun, etc. You need to properly clean the surface and use an adhesive promoter pen. This is a 3M adhesive, serious sh!t. The downfall, if you touch it to the dash, it is staying right where you stuck it or you will wreck it and the dash pulling it off to reposition. It takes MUCH TIME and care when placing!!
