dent wizard

Had the dent wizard come by today to remove three dents from a walmart shopping cart!! While talking to him he told me he has had to remove at least 12 dents from the rear deck lids(most at the dealers) ?? turns out people are shutting the decks to hard, also pushing down on the buttress there getting alot of dents. So you guys and gals be carefull slamming those rear decks down!! later buckeyenuts

So how'd the dent repair come out? Would you recommend the process?

I had a place called Dent Pro come out after I discovered a dent in the trunk (by a dealer who later denied it). The process took him about 30 minutes and I can't even tell there was ever a dent there.

The one caviat to this process is that they have to have the ability to get a tool into the area. If there is nothing available, they will have to drill a hole somewhere (they didn't have to in my case). The repairman did say that if they have to drill a hole they take care to seal it and cover it with a proper plug (whatever that means).

Overall I was extremely pleased.

Has someone tried "Dry Ice" lately?
I think it was a forum member who said it worked perfectly removing hail dents. The dry ice is so cold (hold it wearing gloves) that the body metal shrinks and when it warms up again ... the dent pops out.

It would appear she's no longer with the company.

I'd very rarely celebrate anyone losing their job- even her- so I choose to assume she moved on to greener pastures. Her replacement seems to drive pretty well for his industry.

I do have a door ding, but paintless repair isn't going to cut it. It's on the crease above the rear passenger wheel well and there are two paint chips. I'd expected to have it fixed by now, but I haven't been able to psyche myself up for another bodyshop visit. Maybe I'll be like coop and try to live with it.

I did that to my Miata! I packed the trunk full of groceries and slammed the lid. Poof! Permanent milk jug indent in the top of my trunk lid. Learned my lesson the hard way. I'm really careful now when I shut the sky!
