By driving it daily, accumulating boering, nonproductive hours and miles, or do you treat it with proper reect by pampering it and choosing to drive it only when you want to enjoy the form and function?
Just asking

Drive my Solstice every day and enjoy it. Thats what they are made for. I don't beat on it. I just drive it. I may kick it once or twice, just to streach it legs. HAHA.

What are you doing up so early? My car is in hibernation mode for the winter..with a nice cover over it...waxed and polished and waiting for Spring Fever...it will be 7 yrs old this April...never gave me a drop of trouble. It went to sleep with 33454 miles.
I have to admit I drove it every chance I could when I finally got it back from all the stupid repairs I had to get done to it when I first bought it.. I have 2500 miles on the car since I bought it (around when I registered on here) Many of the miles were driving it back from North Carolina where I bought it and back to NC again for some mountain rides. Regardless I think alot of that driving includes needless abuse. I'm at 41,465 or so now.
Now, it's in the garage polished/washed where it belongs and only comes out on nice days (50+ Degrees) when I know I'm going to have a chance to enjoy it.
Thank goodness I have a new found love for driving the Montero again -- I was considering selling it which would mean I would either need another car or put more needless miles on my offroad toy or the sky.

Permagrin renders your argument invalid.

I bought mine specifically for non productive miles, but I can't say they're boring.
I bought mine as a toy. It replaced a motorcycle for me. It is now stored for the winter (salt) season. Nov 1 to May 1. During the warm season, I will drive it to work occasionally, but it it mostly used as a date car (my wife loves it, she would not ride on the bike) or a 'get away from it all car' for me. I understand it is a car and meant to be driven, but I enjoy the tinkering and polishing and just looking at it part as well.
Rob, I drive mine sparingly, and now have 25,500 on it (5K for 2012). Most of those miles were around the SW USA. Did go back up to the mountain place and bring it to the Valley of the Sun for the winter. I am careful about where I park and that does minimize a lot of daily use. Driving to the golf course last week in the Jetta really got my attention when a havalina jumped out in front of me. Had I been driving the SKY there would have been front damage, while the Jetta took it better than the SKY would have. But all that aside, when we do go out on a short trip to the store, people just drool over the SKY and holler about the car. I don't think any other car attracts that much attention. Most people don't know what a SKY is, and most have never seen one!
