E10 Gas Blend and MPG POLL

Have you noticed any drop in gas mileage when using E10 Gas blends vs regular gasoline??

I've read a lot of people who have compared both by monitoring their MPGs.

Before I come to any conclusions, I want to hear from the community.
No theory talk on this post. I know the theoretical numbers. I want to get real data from users.

Does Saturn recommend ethanol blended gasoline in either Sky engine? GM has traditionally published their eco-friendly cars and I dont remember seeing the Sky on it's list. MPG may not be the only thing impacted.

Corvette Owners Manual says OK

I Will have to get out my Sky Manual but hubby and I disagreed until I found the truth in the C6 Corvette Manual. It says you should use Ethanol less then 10% for it cleans out the fuel lines and will not harm the car in any way. Does not say to use it regularly and never use E85 blend but the 10% is actually good for the car.
The owner/driver of our corvette had a melt down when he realized I topped off the tank at Murphy's aka Wally World and they use 10% blend. Here read this Owners manual its OK your baby is just fine
I would say if its OK for the 06 Corvette then its OK for our Sky's

Come on, don't you realize that most of us don't read owner's manuals? We just pop the gifts out of the box and abuse them until they fall apart.

Road Trip

The wife and I just got back from vacation (took the Sky); I've been very carefult to use nothing but premium fuel with no ethanol content at all. Averaged 25.7 going to the coast and driving there. So the day before we returned filled the tank with regular and 10% ethanol. It increased the mileage to almost 27 for the tank (and yes there was still some in town driving after the fill up).

Hope that helps.

I didn't think premium gas was needed or helped the NA 2.4L engines...but it must be used in the turbo engines

Premium gas is recomended in all Saturn Sky's. 91 Octane or better and it does make a difference in HP.
My baby doesn't like the cheap Booze. She only drinks the good stuff!

You can't get gas in Colorado in the winter without ethanol or methanol in it.
