Event 20 / Event 32 / Event 40 what is this?

Hi everybody

A lot of people here in Europe - specially in Germany - are waiting for their Opel GT / Redline - like me
In January, my dealer told me, that I will get my GT End of April...
Now in May -> Mayby September...

Here in Germany the Opel-Dealer are having "problems" to get detailed information about the ordering / production / delivery status.

My dealer told my today, the the status of my GT is "Event 33".
But he could not give me more information

Could anyone give my more information about the different EVENT-xx - Status?!?!

Thans a lot

Best regards

Wolf

Sky Event Codes..........

Dealers are not necessarially the best sources of information. These Sky event codes may or may not give some understanding into the Opel ordering system. Here are the Sky codes from another recent discussion thread. Good luck.

************************************************
These are the Vehicle Order Event History (VOEH) codes:

1100 Preliminary Order Accepted
1101 Preliminary Order Added
Code 1102 - Preliminary Order Added thru Web (thanks Fred356)
2030 Order Re-edited
2050 Order Changed
2000 Accepted by GM
2500 Preferenced
2550 Order Changed (thanks GO DRVN)
3000 Accepted by Production Control
3100 Available to Sequence
3300 Schedule for Production
3400 Broadcast
3800 Produced
4000 Available to Ship
4104 Bailment Invoice
4b00 Bayed (actually a capital B but it can be mistaken for an eight)
4106 Release Bailment
4150 Original Invoice
4200 Shipped
4800 Rail Ramp Unload
4300 Intermediate Delivery
4V03 EDD (Estimated Delivery Date) Updated (thanks GO DRVN)
5000 Delivered to Dealer
6000 Delivered to Customer

Please note that some codes may occur numerous times and out of order, such as 2030, 2050, 2550, 3000, 3100, and especially 4b00. Every time your Solstice or Sky is parked someplace to wait to go someplace else, it is Bayed (4b00).

I don't know what codes the Opel network is using, but the old Saturn VOM codes looked similar, so perhaps that's what they're using here. Doesn't look like they quite square up exactly though, although we ran into a few codes not on this list when we were back on VOMS.

020 - Order Accepted
025 - Selected for Approval
026 - Sent to POMS (Product Order Management System)
030 - Received at POMS (Accepted by the Assembly Plant) This is when you will receive the TPW
(Tentative Production Week)
033 - Sequenced & VIN Assigned
038 - Produced (Vehicle Built)
040 - Released to Carrier (Ready for Pick-Up by Transportation)
041 - Invoiced (Dealer receives the actual invoice for the vehicle)
042 - Shipped (On the truck on the way to the intended store)
050 - Received by Deale

Saturn codes posted by Cerberus:

These codes are too similar to current codes not to be taken at face value

026 - ? - Sent to POMS (Product Order Management System)

033 - 3300 - Sequenced & VIN Assigned, (Scheduled for production)
038 - 3800 - Produced (Vehicle Built)
040 - 4000 - Released to Carrier (Ready for Pick-Up by Transportation) (Available to ship)
041 - 4150 - Invoiced (Dealer receives the actual invoice for the vehicle)
042 - 4200 - Shipped (On the truck on the way to the intended store)
050 - 5000 - Received by Dealer

I think your Sky has been built ny now and probably shipped. Have no idea how long it takes to get to Europe.

Good luck
