Fast and the furious 4

So I was jus bssin online on one of the forums and I saw a link to sign your car up for an exclusive casting call for the Fast and the Furious Movie, so I did it and sent a few pics and said whatever and forgot about it. So Thursday I got a call and they asked me to come on Saturday (Which is today) for an exclusive casting call. So I went and about 100 cars showed up. There was 4 Solstaces 1 Sky and the sky was mine. The Solstaces were pretty much stock with wheels but one had an aftermarket hood and bumper which was alright. Anyways, the director came around and I talked a little about my car and he said I had a very nice car and to select my car and the stock Black Solstace next to mine with wheels so they wrote the number from my window and wrote it on their pad then took a picture of the number and then one of the car and to expect a call from me next month for a shoot! So it looks like my Redline is going to be in the movie. We will see, but im freakin stoked!

Dude the third one was the best one out of all of them! The other ones were gay, especially the second one.

Sounds cool, but be careful.

- Watch what you sign about liability, because your insurance will not cover hollywood stunt driving
- Who will be driving your car?
- What if they damage it?
- Do you get daily compensation, do you need to take off work?

- And the most important question to ask.....IS EDDIE GRIFFIN In the 4th film??

Agreed! I saw a RL the other day with those blue lights that light up the pavement underneath it. I drove away hoping nobody saw me. Ray

Cool

Jay man you have lost it, The third movie actually had a descent story and was the best of the three. Did you miss vin diesle because you have a crush on him? The fourth is supposed to be cool but i am a little leary because it does revert back to the first story line. Your sky looks great and if they don't pick it they will be fools. Congrats and keep us updated

i got a flyer also for the casting call but for my celica...not going though

chances are its for "background" cars to populate the street. like the scenes where all the cars are parked and everyone is looking at them. i had a buddy who had his car in the first movie where they had a party in the desert.

that would be sweet to see a sky in there, it would break up the monotony of the rice.

....lemme' see...some American punk goes to live with his dad in Tokyo....doesn't know **** about drifting....some Jap kid befriends him and teaches him how to drift...then he's drifting down the Japanese mountains doing 90-mph, taking on a junior Yakuza member....oh yeah, and he gets the girl....pretty decent.....the first is the best...and my crush is on Paul Walker, not Vin

That sounds really cool, the first SKY movie star. Lets just hope they don't destroy any as stunt doubles in the making of the movie.

So you understand what I am saying. I am not sure if anyone watched the DVD extras but they gave out an astronomical number of cars they used (main vehicles) and not many of them survived. Plus poor Jazz being carried in pieces at the end of Transformers was just horrible.

Wasn't the Solstice already in Transformers? I am sure there have been other places the car has been shown. Also, it can't be rice even in F&F it is a domestic car. Rice is based off foreign cars I.E. Japan. In my opinion is should be called Sushi, but...

The definition of rice coming from a person who is on a National Team with many years showing cars and winning and judging all the Import scene shows from 1997-2007.

Rice: Foriegn cars mated with kits that don't fit properly or designed for an different car, not painted body parts and or different color than the rest of the car, stickers and graphics that have no meaning and make the car look ridiculous or worse than stock. poorly fitted exhaust that farts instead of having a nice tone, wheels that are no match for the vehical and are either unpainted or the paint is coming off or in bad shape. Interiors that are not wild, but not suited. Like green seats in a blue car or seats and interior that are from completely different cars and in bad shape and don't fit.

Now there is a wild catagory where the sky is the limit WILD. It is not considered Rice, but an artists approach. You will see ugly, but clean cars. Nice paint, graphics, lights and interior. The color schemes may be horrible and make you want to vomit, but again art is not RICE.

Rice again is foreign cars unpainted ill fitting equipment done on the cheap and does not match looks like a wreck. Covered with stickers that they are no sponsored by or don't even have the equipment on said car. Cars are usually high mileage worn and not presentable.

Show Cars have low miles, fresh paint, and clean body work, no dents dings or scratches, windows all clean no pits, interior like new or upgraded, wheels perfect, tires perfect, motor clean white glove clean, bottom and all other areas, you need to be able to eat off.

Example: You bring a dirty clean nice looking car to a show you will loose. Probably get beat out by the disgusting looking Wild car that is spotless.

I have beat 500K cars because they brought them in dirty and thought just because it is expensive and rare they would win. LOL!

I know a bit about practical and visual fx in movies. I wouldn't recommend letting them use your car as a driving prop. If it's just for eye candy, then head to the Kraft service table for some yummy treats and enjoy.
