OK Chewievette, you have your answer and he new style, if you can do that top for $2000 or under you got my purchase. The two pieces of the top that click into the truck need to be on hinges like the soft top so we can access the trunk. And that top looks small enough, that if made of fibre glass or better yet carbon fibre, it is a one person install and de-install......NICE!!!!!

Chewievette Long Gone?

Looks like we will never know. The last time he posted was two years ago? I wish we could get someone else interested in marketing one of these. I would like to be able to change over to a hard top in the winter but only if it is a SMALL SPORTY looking hard-top like the one in xmicro_redline's post.

3 is cool maybe you could incorporate a double seam in the centre to give it a lower profile (aka zagato double bubble)

Like the photo below. Keep the same raked roofline, it's mean looking!
This would be the only type of hard top I'd be interested in!

Love to see her humps!!!

#3 with the double bubble roof like the C6 corvette and the window resessed a little more to retain the look of the buttresses or tunnel back design.

You didn't think of something with the micro top (blue)....that the soft top would be in the trunk anyway,it can't be removed as it can't be detached from the car....so the trunk will be useless anyway.

I realized that, but I still use my trunk with the top down, enough room for cleaning stuff and an occasional small bag of goods. I don't need much room and if I do I take the SUV.

Concerning access to trunk

If one of these hardtops were on/installed, why would you need access to the trunk? Wouldn't it be completely full of the convertible top or do you plan on completely removing it if you use the hardtop? And if it were one of the first posted tops, how could you open the trunk with the top on?

edit: someone beat me to it.

Hmmm, given the unique look of the blue top, and the seam that runs across the back of it, I was kinda hoping it was a folding hard-top replacement for the soft top.

best hardtop for the sky <g>

Ok I know its not a sky... and i know the trunk will be lost yadda yadda... but this is the only top I would want for the sky.. I would want it to be removable obviously but I think it looks cool and isnt that the main reason we like our cars ? LOL well...one main reason at least.. I would buy this top and put it on sometimes and go topless others... make one like this and put me on the list cuz im buyin it :-)
