Finally got my "Saturn" plate from Texas
I went to the Texas online web site where you can check and see if the personalized plate you want is available. I was checking different combinations and the system said that Saturn was available. So I filled out the information and gave them my credit card information. Then I waited and waited and no plate. Finally the DMV where you pick up your plates suggested I call Austin and find out what was going on. Turns out they denied my request due to possible trademark issues with Saturn the car company???
I tried to explain that there are several uses of the word Saturn and that there should not be any trademark issues as you are not using the Saturn script or font? To make a long story short I had to submit an appeal to the State and they granted my request. So I got my Saturn plate last week! ![]()
