Go America!

Too many people look at the expanding Chinese economy as a competition thing. It's all how you look at it. Is the cup half full or half empty? Is it a billion competitors? Or, is it a billion CUSTOMERS!

I heard last night that China is putting 25,000 additional cars on the road every day and is on pace to have more cars that the US in the next ten years. I think it was Ted Koppel on The Daily Show. I believe the gov't there subsidizes the cost of gasoline.

Koppel also said that China has purchased between $600,000,000,000 and $1,000,000,000,000 in US treasury bills, effectively loaning us the money to execute wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Eek.

"China is putting 25,000 additional cars per day"

Yeah - corporations love the expanding China market.

But, higher demand for oil = higher prices for everyone. The higher pollution resulting from the growth in China and India scares the heck out of me.
