For the girls...what to do with your hair???

Okay...new Sky Redline owner and it's our first sunny day in Seattle since I got my new car.

Auburn hair whipping in the wind...feels GREAT but slight decrease in visibility. What do you do? Hat...scarf...scrunchy??

(I know, I know...what a dilemma)

If your hair is long enough pull it back. If not, just let it go wild. That's what I do. I gave up on good visibility a long time ago. Just enjoy your ride. Congrats on your Redline. T.

It depends on just how much sun I want & what I am planning on doing.
Sometimes, I just use a scarf.
Sometimes I use a scrunchy - other times I add in a cap.
But I ALWAYS keep a brush and a couple of spare ponytail holders in the waterfall compartment.

Well when you consider that too much sun can cause skin cancer and wrinkles, go for the hat and good sun glasses. You will enjoy driving your car more and you will be healthier AND your hair wont be a mass of knots.........

Raybans, a visor and a hair clip. Don't leave home without them.

Depends on where I am going. If I am going to work then just a simple comb/clip with my shades. I keep it in the center console and can throw it in at a light if I have to. I really prefer to leave it down and flow wildly in the wind. My hair is a little wild anyway so the windblown look doesn't make much difference.

However, when rolling on the weekends I do the baseball cap, shades and ponytail. Be careful where you position the scrunchie because its really uncomfortable to lean against on a long ride!

BTW, some guys also have long hair..however not I. Anyways, wife grabs her hair and wraps it in a neat bun in back and uses whatever gizmo she has to hold it. Once there, she can unwrap, quick brush if she wants hair back down and walla, no tangles neat and trim.. BTW, welcome aboard...

PS: I have also made her wear a hat on occasions for longer rides, even tho she hates hats, donno why..

hat hair

Just to protect my eyes (whipping hair!) I wear a Naval Academy baseball hat! After all, I am retired navy and live bby the academy. But as I near my destination I will take it off and let the wind straighten my hair! Can you say, no hat hair! Polarized sunglasses are a MUST!!

Congrats to another newbie!! (one month and loving this perma grin!)

Hi Natalie,

OMG! I have the same issue. Long brown hair all in my eyes as I drive. I keep my Cubs cap in my car and I also keep a ponytail holder on my shifter.

That should do the trick.

In a BUN!

Congrats on the new SKY!
Polarized sunglasses are a MUST!!
Long blond hair middle of my back, pull it up into a bun on top and have a hair claw to keep it in place. Pony tail hits the back of the seat if you on a long drive and want to rest your head on the seat pony tail gets in the way. French braid works but somehow the hair works out of braid and whips around more. Array of hair bands and hair claws, scrunchies in waterfall compartment. My hair claw fits nicely over the convertible top handle when the top in up or the brake handle.
BTW I agree with Mrs. Midnightblue I hate hats also, don't know why just do
Don't forget the Sunscreen lotion, face, neck and arms

Thumbs up

I do usually what my picture is right now.... throw it up in a pony and then make a knot/loop on top.

The only tanned, wrinkled ones around here are either transplants or tan salon freaks !

We can't see without sunglasses during the rare occasion sunshine because it blinds us !!
Some are scared by that bright light when it shows up & hibernate.

I agree with Chili...I got fried bad on the way back from Ohio the Sunday before last. Had my hair pulled back in a pony tail. It was a little chilly so I didn't think much of it. The next day I had some nice blisters on the top of my left ear.

Usually I go for the pony tail, but sometimes I go for a hat. Depends on how far I'm driving and if I don't care about the hat ring.

Nice Britney Spears Pic...

Thanks for the tips...drove around yesterday with a baseball cap and scrunchy and it helped with the tangled, knotted mess I had the day before.

It was actually HOT in Seattle...what a fun time to have a new ride!

NO Britney's...!!

At first...I let my hair blow in the wind. Unfortunately, brushing out the knots was a disaster. Then I put my hair in a pony tail...it helps, but the long strands still get knotted. So now I put it in a twist with a clippy with BLING trim, keep the windows rolled up, put on my BLING sunglasses...and enjoy life!

I LOVE this car!!!!

PS...I apply sunscreen to my face EVERY morning. Regardless of the weather.
Let the sun shine!!!
