My understanding is they were simple denied the funds they wanted to buyout Chrysler with.

I don't want to see GM go away, and I'm exceedingly tired of spending billions to bailout giant corporations (remember the airline bailouts after 9/11?).
You can't have it both ways: Low taxes, low oversight in good times, then taxpayer funded freebies when times are tough.
So whatever that means. They were denied they have a good possibilty of failing.
