Got Mines!!!! Monsoon question

Hey all- Finally got my RL today. Got an '08 Silver, red interior (love it!), 6 disk, manual, spoiler, chrome wheels, personal audio link (highly recommended), and the monsoon (of course). I will post pics soon.

My question is this: How do I know that I actually have the Monsoon system? There's nothing that says Monsoon and I can't tell if I actually have it. It's on the sticker and I paid for it, but is there anyway to be sure I have it? Speakers seem kinda weak too.......might have to get some aftermarket 6x9's.

This car is amazing though, I absolutely love it. Traded in my '06 Hummer H3 for it and I couldn't be happier. AND I haven't even opened her up.......waiting til mile 500 and then ROMPING!!!!! Anyways, any help with the monsoon question is much appreciated. Thanks........love this forum btw and I'll be ordering some new accessories in a few minutes (stubby, windscreen, etc.).......mods for me include painting the calipers red, window tint, and lowering 1" with the eibach springs. Wow, I love this thing and I've only had it for a few hours

Congratulations on the sky and if you want to double check if you have the monsoon the easiest way is there is an amp behind the panel behind the driver's seat and a sub behind the panel behind the passengers seat. Just a couple of pieces of plastic and you can see it for yourself.

Flip the passenger's seat foward. If you have a net/pocket back there you do NOT have the monsoon system. If you have a subwoofer grill and no pocket that is one of the Monsoon systems. The base radio does not have the monsoon system, the other 2 options do allow for the Monsoon system.

Welcome to the club!

If you have a six disk player then you have monsoon audio. Can't get six disk without monsoon. Any other doubts? If there is a Subwoofer behind your passenger seat then you have monsoon audio.

Enjoy your new ride

Take the time to learn the system and tune it. Those speakers won't be so weak when the system is set up correctly

Hey Rick-

I'm in the N. Suburbs. Any recommendation as to where I should take my car for a window tint?
