i have the 09 sky with monsoon stereo,it says you can bluetooth your phone to it,do i need to buy a cable to plug in to the stereo to the phone or what do i need.
That is true...but all the speakers do not work when using bluetooth...he asked or phrased the question incorrectly...
I better check that out, I haven't notice, I don't use the bluetooth feature that much..
Lets say I have an MP3 player paired with the bluetooth system on our car, you mean to say NOT ALL speakers will work

Bluetooth and music are separate entities...music from an mp3 player will probably use all speakers depending how it was recorded....bluetooth is just a phone call.

Mike, bluetooth is bluetooth, same system. The bluetooth system only knows the name of the device and lets incoming signal from that device and amplifies that signal through the speakers. So if your monsoon system has 7 speaker you will hear sound from all 7 speakers....
We need Mark (TS), he always corrects me!
Pretty sure (though not certain - I'd have to check) that MM is correct in what (I think) he's saying. [Weaselly enough for ya?]
The Bluetooth supported by the OnStar box is mono only and doesn't support the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) - so not really useable for music - and because it's routed via GMLAN, may not be very high fidelity anyway. I believe the audio comes out of the front driver-side speaker(s) only - possibly only the tweeter, though, again, I'd have to check.

Rats!!!!
You always have to correct me don't you!!! Which is a good thing, because I can't BS my way around here...
Thanks TS
Vic...let me bring u back to the Chevy dealer we both visited by you...remember when we tried to mute the chimes...the tech said all that sound comes out of the drivers side speaker only...of course we r talking...possible apples and more apples ...but that is what he stated. Bluetooth is that apple...it may use another speaker but certainly does not use the entire monsoon system.
Now stop it with thoughts of a tow bar....silly wabbit.
