So I received an e-mail tonight. It was a customer service survey from the Chevy dealer. They want to know how satisfied I am with my "soap dropping" experience at their dealership. No, really!! As I sat there reading the e-mail, I took a minute to adjust my blow-up ring pillow, and decided to hold off completing it as I'm sure I couldn't give an objectìve opinion right now. Maybe this weekend.... maybe....
Don't hold off. Unload on them. They deserve it. Most GM service departments do not care at all and especially about anything having to do with warranty work. And especially since they charged you when they shouldn't have. And, if you haven't already done this, I would contact GM Customer Support directly and tell them what is going on.
I speak from experience. I dealt with a GM service department from October of 2011 to May of 2012 to get my 2011 Chevy Cruze, that I purchased 6 months earlier (new), fixed correctly. After over 7 trips, I gave up, traded it in, and purchased a much nicer, used Pontiac G8.

After that experience you bought another GM vehicle......

A big round of applause for Matt, ok, maybe two thumbs since there isn’t a "round of applause" smilie) GM called me this morning and advised me that I would be receiving a complete refund. Apparently *wink* the dealer's system was down when they wrote up my service ticket so they didn’t know about my zero deductable extended major guard warranty.
10 thumbs up for Matt.
see what happens when you're hangin in.
great forum.

I'll be honest: I've had to fight with GM one time (it is documented on this forum). The great thing about GM or any other American dealer is that there are a million dealerships. If one gives you a headache, just go to another. After I had my warranty situation resolved, I just switched dealerships and everything has been gravy since.

Funny you should post this morning. Yesterday I (finally) received my refund check from the dealer, only took 2 weeks. Wonder if they would have waited for my payment for 2 weeks
As for dealers, yeah, I'll be switching. Trouble is, that was the second closest dealer to my home. The closest dealer really peeved me when I witnessed one of their employees driving my Sky through their parking lot (my top was down) with his hands completely off the steering wheel doing his impression of Leonardo DiCaprio on the bow of the Titanic.
You are not the first one that we have heard this happen to. I am still trying to figure out how they can possibly take 3 hours to change the fan out. In 3 hours we could have the entire engine out of the car.
Yes thats crazy. Mine was acting up and didn't have time to check it out so took it to the dealer. They just called and said $500.00 bucks, $250 for the fan and $250 for labor.
So any of you have a good aftermarket fan that will work on the Sky's?
