Texas vanity plates are ****ing expensive. I looked until I saw the price and was like forget it. It's not a one time fee either. Per year with discounted for amount of years.

It depends on how vain you want to be. I paid about $300 for 5 years for mine (I got the mid level), in addition to the annual registration fee. Go to MyPlates.com - Our Plates are street legal and officially licensed by Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. There's a large selection, and it's in addition to those listed on the TXDOT website.

plus your normal annual registration fee of course.
For the SKY it comes to about $135/year.

I have the "State of the Arts" specialty plate on my pickup. With random numbers, it costs $30 per year, plus registration fee.
