Knee support pad

Anyone seen the knee support pad on ebay for the kappas?

Here's an auction - mods please delete if inappropriate to reference.

I think its an interesting idea, but it looks kinda thick to me.

I saw that a while back and was actually considering it. When I wear shorts, my knee rubs right on the edge of the hard plastic and that gets pretty irritating on long drives...

I could actually use something like that for the drivers side. My knee always seems to end up right on the door handle which digs into it and makes it a little uncomfortable.

I think its a good idea - not sure about the execution.

I think I'd rather have a vendor fab up a little leather-covered pad that was a tad thinner and less obtrusive. From the pics, this one looks like a giant angular wart.

Just MHO tho.
