I just go my new antenna for my RL from GM. It is the one used on the Opel GT in Europe. It looks far better than the stock State side antennas we all have. GM Part # 25805645

looks good, but i already have a silver stubby "B" antenna.
I looked at some of the after market antennas out there too, but I wanted one that wouldn't reduce the signal so much. Looks are great, but I want function too The Opel GT antenna is a "loaded" type which means it will function like a full length antenna. its like the old whip CB antennas some people had on their cars many years ago. Those antennas were loaded too because of the wavelength, they would have had to be 4 times longer
reception has nothing to do with antenna...it is the radio signal...unless u r in a valley....
If that's the case, how come I get reception on a station nearby, remove the antenna and the station goes completely away, then when I get through the car wash and put my antenna back on, the station comes back EXACTLY the moment I touch the antenna firmly to the base?
