I was at a dead stop when I was rear ended by a Ford F 150 doing about 40 miles an hour.....Fireman and paramdics had never seen a sky trashed and were highly impressed how the car reacted to such a high impact....they said a lot of cars this size would have caused some pretty serious injuires to the occupants or death.........and that we were real lucky to walk away from it..unfortunately the car did not survive....but finally after 2 months of waiting I have the exact same black/black rl with 0 miles to make up for the loss...
I am glad to hear that you are ok and you are back in a SKY. You must have an Angel looking over you to walk away from a crash like that. Now you need to make up so lost time. Enjoy your New RL. T.

Someone is going to have to start a sticky or something and list all the Skys which have been totaled - in all cases that I have read about so far there were no injuries.
The Fiero was often underestimated - received very high marks for safety - despite folks who did not know better thinking that the plastic body panels were a major weakness.
This is great news that you walked away unscathed from an impact of this magnitude. I got hit in a head-on collision by some beater Honda Accord a few years back who crossed a double line doing ~50-60MPH and came out with minimal damage. He then decided he didn't want the jail time that being blindly drunk and driving at 2 am would bring so he peeled it backwards from the twisted metal of our cars and tried to break out. ( I also hit 2 cars behind me due to force of impact) Alas, there was a Washington DC Metro cop 6 cars behind all this wreckage so the dude got 3 blocks. Sucks to be him. I had a very strong chassis on my vehicle at that time thank God. I'd be dead as fried chicken had I been in something a little cheaper.

I took a Fiero apart to put a lamborghini kit on it. Surprising the bracing they built in to that little car! That started my love of roadsters,
