edit: ya'll may have already followed that thread, come to think of it, but just an example as work continues...

As you've probably already guessed, Eloys had my car for a few weeks and has already fitted a custom manifold, much larger turbo, and new lines. The downpipe is getting fitted and the tune will come next. Yes, it has to be a custom tune. It will probably be a while before it's all refined, but it's not my daily driver so I'm not that concerned about getting it back quickly. This will be the prototype of Redline/gxp R2 tune. As soon as we have something in a finished state I'll let everyone know.

I just checked out some of BTF's posts and he still hasn't worked out the bugs. It looks like the ECU has a 255kpa limit (like most GM ECU's) that may not be possible to work around. Thats why I'm waiting, I would be pissed to spend that much to upgrade the turbo and be limited by airflow.

Those "bugs" wont be solved by anyone anytime soon short of Hack bandaids. It is a fundumental part of the MEd9's programming.

But you can run 23psi boost with out any hassles. I run 23psi and 7500rpm all day long.
We run 23psi and 7900rpm with Greaseyjockey's stage 2 BTFR kit. Non-issue.
Hell at only 18-19psi the 35R puts down 340+whp. Check my vendor section and see the Dynojet graphs for yourself.

Id like to see anyone get a turbo on there for less than 829.99. It's not as easy as you think. Not with 100K mile duribility in mind.

Maybe not a GT series turbo, but I know for a fact I could get the all hardware for a T3/T4 set up for $800. Is your kit using an adaptor or a new manifold?

Did you get the car to stop going into limp mode? How much are you selling kits with tunes for?

The GT kit uses a Custom Stainless steel Turbine housing to bolt right to your existing LNF exhaust manifold. The ONLY time it goes into limp mode is if you surpass 255kpa for more than 4 sec. If you run 250kpa there is Zero limphome mode.

The Wheel upgrade that is 829.99 is your stock turbo, with the compressor housing machined for a several mm. larger billet compressor wheel. The turbine is untouched and the whole assembly is cleaned and Re-man'd.
Or you can have a brand new one for the additional cost of a turbo from the dealer.

I just took the very first one out and kicked the crap out of it. (it was fun) It flows out to the max compressor capabilities of 36. lbs/min. by 7100rpm. I have a small surge condition from 3k-4K that I'm working out with cam timing. But the upgrade has the potential to provide an additional 60hp.
