I think the car has enough badging already, but if your going to do it, I agree rear only.

I agree with Sky Duffer...the car has enough badging. A thin black metal frame with no writing I believe is the best. It is kind of a pet peeve of mine (though not the case here, becuase the word "Saturn" is not on the care anywhere, except the running boards) is when people get license plate frames that that say "Corvette" or "350Z"...well no kidding...it says that six inches away on the bumper, why does it need to say it again. And the all time worst, any car over $50K with a dealer plate...ugh!

...and never, never, under any cirmcumstances should you have a front plate on a Sky.

Sounds good....... unless you live where I do and the New York State Troopers patrol your local streets and highways and just LOVE an excuse to pull you over. Once you get to a certain point in your life it just aint worth the aggrevation. Just a few years ago, I got a ticket for a LIGHTLY smoked front plate cover. That is what he did a uturn for at high speed to pull me over. He actually saw it coming in the opposite direction!

I agree. I drive about 35 miles to work every day and thru three different small towns with thier own police. It just not worth the hassle of getting pulled over.

Maryland is a front plate state as well. I've had my Corvette for 4 years without a front plate. Got a $70 ticket a couple years ago. I just consider it a cost of ownership.

I have that license frame - I don't like it. The big Saturn logo hides most of the West Virginia at the top of my plate. Plate doesn't fit "inside" the frame, so the bottom screw holes show on top of the plate. (Just my opinion) Luckily I bought mine at Big Lots & it only cost $3 - so it will be tossed as soon as I can find a replacement.

Here's a simple chrome frame w/ bolt covers & a medium smoked plate cover. I don't like the two bolt mount that comes on most cars. Makes it look unfinished. Most parts stores have a frame section w/ all the bolts & nuts.
There is enough space behind the plate mount to drill holes for the bottom bolts without hurting anything. Mount the plate to the top holes. Drill small pilot holes for the bottoms. Take off the plate. Drill holes out bigger. File them square. Pop in the square threaded bolt thing (?) & mount the plate.
It takes ten minutes & looks alot better.

I got my Sky last July. Went all summer and fall without my front licence plate. Stored my baby during the winter. This spring only had her out 2 weeks and got pulled over for not having license on front. $90 ticket if I didn't agree to put it on. Sooo the next weekend back to the dealership and yes I had them put the plate on. I bought Stainless Steel license plate holders. It's the best I could do to make the front plate look at least acceptable. It looks alright because of all the chrome on the front of my car. I'm just happy I got away without a front plate as long as I did!
