Ouch!!!

hey guys here is a pic of a Solstice that cam into our shop yesterday. I thought i would take ya'll through the process of us fixing it. Apparently and older lady was pulling into a parking lot at a local grocery store and unfortunetly didn't see the solstice and turned into it. ill try to update as best as possible, this is a fairly easy fix and i will deffinetly post the end result. so have fun with this thread and post anything you want and ask any questions if you want.

Looks like that front battery panel is made of metal instead of plastic like the Sky. Probably why it matches the car paint better.

Little girl did the same thing to me. What lug nuts do to a car after she tangled with old red. After the shock she was a really nice person. Got that orginial NO FEAR claw look by your truly. Tiggers customs. haaha

i wasn't totally happy with the way they came out, looked good for an average job but as we know stacey's car is not average so i'm redoing them and adding more tint to the clear.

good to hear from you skybaby. hope everything is good

John I don't doubt you one bit. I get to see it all from the second story when the rest of the world is first floor. Three weeks ago, Santa BArbara Calif. Ramps out . 4 ways on a man in a pickup said he was looking across the road for a parking place. Ran UP MY left side ramp, turned his wheels and came off the rack down on the metel light housing. Tore the whole side of his pickup up worst then the car in the picture.
steve,, girls excuse on the blue car,,, Cell phone but she was flying trying to get in front before she had to turn. Whats 80 foot long, 14 foot high , red. and you can't see it. GIVE ME A BRAKE ...

This whole cell phone thing is still out of control, no matter how many laws are passed, people still insist on talking on the phone while driving...Like yesterday, I saw a woman in a minivan delivering papers, while talking on the phone sometimes it makes me all >>>

For lack of a better term,
The quarter panels on the Sky are Fiberglass. So you are correct.

There is a subtle change on the underside of the Hood too.
Both of these make it slightly easier to install Vertical Doors on a Sky
You only need to trim the quarter panel and not the hood
and the sky requires no touchup paint on the body panels to prevent rust.
You do have to trim the support for the quarter panel a little to clear the hinge, and that needs a quick shot of paint to prevent it from rusting.

Steve, I completely agree with you. It's downright frustrating and dangerous.
Even when I am walking my dog in our fairly rural neighborhood, I have these idiots in giant SUVS doing 50+pmh in a 25mph zone, yapping away with only one hand on the steering wheel and they other holding their phone.

I get off the road whenever I hear a car coming just to be on the safe side.
