Painted my calipers and side vents today

Well it was a easy job but after starting it late in the day yesterday. Then getting in a hurry because it was getting dark. Screwing one side vent up so started over today. Only one cut on the hand and a blister on one knee.
( I know what joke you guys are thinking about so don't) haha I took the pics last night in the brightest place I could think of... a car lot
I got it all painted up. take a look. See what you think.
I think it game out pretty good.

Good Job.....what was the thought process on the Yellow?

Just curious, would not have been my choice.

But to each his own...Enjoy it! It is unique!

paint choices

Well guys this is how I looked at it. The red with dark blue. no- ugly,
the black, mmm not to bad but we all know part of the reason of painting them is so people can see them like on the Vet's. The blue-- toooo light ugly also. Silver--- way bother.
So if you guys have another color that would look better then the yellow then please tell me. I can repaint them in a couple hours now.

If someone could "photo shop" some other colors that would be great.

RickyD,

Tell these folks, and anyone else that wants to chime in on your taste to pack sand in their rears. As soon as someone starts to make your payments then I think they can start to tell you what colors look good.

Now, you did kinda ask for it by stating "Take a look, see what you think" but since you did NOT ask anyone to tell you what they were thinking, you are off the hook.

Personally, I think the colors work, and I agree with your thought process, since my RL is Forest Green, I have a very similar dilema if I want to paint my calipers.

Three Colors?

Blue, Silver, and Yellow? As a suggestion, the Sky is too small for all of those colors. I would suggest keeping all the trim silver. Just my .02.

If you like it keep it yellow. Doesn't look that bad to me. It's different. Good discussion topic if anything.

I really like the calipers but not the vents. My opinion, leave calipers yellow and put the vent back the way it was. There is no need to have yellow anywhere else on the car because you already have it in different spots (at each wheel.) The yellow vent makes it look off balance...too much yellow up front and not enough in the back. If you just had the calipers yellow then it would look symmetrical.

color

Maybe those two guys are jealous because I didn't paint them mauve.

Here is the post when I first cut and made the vents active and painted them satin black.

Fake side vents

I have a COOL Sol and I painted my Calipers BLUE

logical was...red...yellow or black don't go well with Silver

BLUE was the logical choice...many compliments have proven this so.

I'm not sure what some people are complaining about. First and formost, it's your car, do what you wish. I happen to think it looks great. Nice job!

I agree. If you like it, keep it. I've seen worse things. Since I might paint my calipers red could you tell us if there's anything special we might need to do/not do? What kind of paint did you use? (Everyone else may know, but I've never done it before.)

Looks very "Rice" to me. The sky has a style very unique, Your just taking away from you cars very sexy look & style. If you want to paint something yellow, go buy a Honda civic or a Dodge neon. Just my thoughts..

..EVERYTHING GOES GREAT WITH CARAMEL

...My opinion....THUMBS UP..on the calipers.....THUMBS DOWN..on the "YELLOW -SIDE-VENT".....( I would've selected a different color OR .. no painting the side-vents
