Go for a nice WIX filter and get a free one in the box. You mean the 3" o-ring, right? PN is 57082.

that's it...thanks...I have 2 new oil filters in my trunk...since the Saturn dealership closed up...as many have, I have to bring my own oil filer into the dealerships which were owned by my dealership. I purchased an oil contract when i bought the car and now I am stuck with their other dealerships to service my car.

Just to clarify, that is the WIX oil filter part number, not GM. Apparently that o-ring doesn't have to be changed very often if the filter cover is not abused. Might buy a WIX, take out the o-ring and put it in with the OEM ACDelco filter...

Oil filter cartridge - I think this car is the same (sorry have not gotten that far yet) as my Oldsmobile Intrigue with a Oringed cap that holds the filter. If it is similar with large (nearly 1/4" thick) O-rings, they are quality Orings and should not need replacing in many many oil changes. I have never replaced mine on my Intrigue the entire time I've owned the car.

I didn't think Mike would need any as he takes his car to the dealer for everything...
