Parts Dept. did me a "solid"

So I call the Parts Dept. at the dealership that I bought my Sky at, asking about a set of splashguards. They say they have a set, & quotes a price of $153 & change.
I ride over to look at them, Parts guy says, how do u like the car?
I tell him I love it. He asks, how long have u had it? About a week.
He says, u buy it from us? I say, Yup.
He goes, "Then I'll give 'em to u for $120!"
A nice surprise!

Wow. Yeah, that's a nice touch. Always good to have a dealer like that to have around.

Ordered an Opel GT antenna for my Sky and local dealer discounted it to me . Only paid $18 including tax. Listed for $21 through gmparts.com. Not all dealers are as corrupt as some people think. The antenna looks great and no noticeable differance in reception.

I thought $18 was a deal. What did you pay?

I might have been had after all. At least I did not pay the listed price of $21 at the parts counter. Shipping charges are another story.

As far as the splashguards go, I knew they were 120 bucks from GM, so i looked around online. There's a proliferation of these BS accessory websites that say they have Sky 'cessories, but when u "drill down", they're mostly universal fit stuff. I once got screwed that way with some Trailblazer stuff, and i like the Sky molded OEM splashguards. I think i made a good deal, and i'll put em on myself!

Don't let these guys get to you or BS you. $120.00 is a great price Still wondering how someone on this thread got the Opel antenna for $10.30 though
