Race
I would like to see a list of vehicles that you have raced ( on a closed course of course)
I just want to see what kinds of vehicles you have raced against, it would be nice to see a win and lose list also

The first car I even put any money into was a 1996 Beretta Z26. It started out as a 3.1 auto and I swapped that out for a 3.4 along with a manual transmission. Underdrive pulley, aluminum flywheel, stage 3 Spec clutch, lowering springs, KYB shocks (the best that were available for the car), 2.5" full mandrel exhaust with Borla muffler.
I still haven't been able to get it to an autocross, although I have been to the drag strip a few times. The list of cars I beat are... Every other Beretta I've ever raced (it was at Berettafest in Denver) 97 Civic Ex (no problem whatsoever) Cavalier Z24 (same outcome) Losses... Completely built Grand Prix GTP. (this thing was insanely fast and there were two at the track that day. I raced the faster one unfortunately.) Grand National with turbo upgrade (Major traction problem, stupid FWD) 95 Mustang Cobra GT (almost had him but I busted a motor mount during the first run against him so I had major wheel hop.) When I get my Sky the Beretta will be my DD. I'm done messing around with FWD cars. It was definitely a great learning experience that I do not regret though. -edit- I guess for some reason I thought the question was "what other cars have you used to race." Oh well, I'm sure my sky would turn out the same results. Except it would probably beat the Cobra and be a lot closer to the other cars I lost to.

http://www.scsportscar.com/content/autocross/results2.php?Event=20071202&Report=fin The first event I had the car about 40 hours, had driven it about 2 hours on the highway. The second event, I beat hubby’s competition time, but he got me in fun runs. The day he got the Volvo back from the shop we raced from the last traffic light before our house. He did a holeshot, I just floored it. I pulled him by half a car, and then backed off at 60mph. I do believe he would have gained on me in the ¼ though. -J |

I have not modified my Sky to run on a track, (It is only a 2.4 and not a track car) but I have enclosed a picture of me at Road Atlanta with my Cayman. I do several events a year with the PCA.

Here are a couple of vids of me racing my old Saturn Ion Redline. Best timeslip is below the vids and was a 13.7 @102 mph. Keep in mind I'm up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the track is at 3200 ft elevation.
I look forward to racing my Sky this year. I'm not sure what it will run at this altitude. But, I'm hoping that by the end of the season, I'll be in the mid 13's. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
