While black would be the obvous, I've seen some pictures with a grey stripe, that looked really nice.

But I really don't any other color would work IMHO

There's at least one member here that has the grey stripes. I agree, looks sweet.

How about Black Flame stripes. Like the picture but with just black paint!

From what I have seen... black seems to be the gold standard on Yellow skys. Besides gray, a dark or navy blue may also work.

This does not look bad with the silver ...
someone in FL had it ...

but I think gray would look good, too.

transformational colors

I got striping material that changes colors with the incident light. In artificial light the stripes look black. In the sunlight, they change from deep purple to cyan (gold) depending on the angle of incidence of the sun. For example the stripes look deep purple at the nose and range up to bright gold at the top of the hood. Its a startling effect and so far everyone who has seen it has voiced amazement at the colors.
I chose to do the install using film but there are also commercial paints you can purchase to do the same effect. There are a number of different ranges of color available if you look.

Basically the paint molecules have an orientation and as the incident light changes its angle, the paint reflects different colors. Its very effective on a curved surface.

Celebrate the silver

With the windshield surround and siver behind the seats I decided the Yellow should celebrate that color. Chrome -- no -- Yellow IS the chrome on this car. Black? A classic -- but I was afraid of looking too yellow Jacket looking (not bad but easy to do) So I went with the siver/metalic.
I am putting in the real brushed aluminum trim kit (looks just like the horn trim) then I will put matching siver (metalic) striping.
