Radiator hose rubbing

While instaling my k&n typhoon on my 08 redline today i noticed that my upper radiator hose is rubbing on the top of the fan shroud it hasnt rubber threw yet but its gotta be close i put a few layers of hillbilly chrome on it for now but gotta solve this soon any ideas

I would be really hard to get a pic of it best way i could describe it is the upper hose dead center of the engine, bottom side of the hose almost sits on the fan shroud, the shroud has risen fins on the top of it and has rubber a slit in the botton side of the hose, cant see it i only felt it when i grabed the hose to move it outa the way to install the bracket for the cai, it may be hard to reach under the factory air box and duct work but not impossible

Can't get a pic from the side? Bust out that phone! lol Oh and I doubt many people on here have the stock air box still installed.

Most have stock air box in there cars.
I see way it is hard to pic.

Well always looking for performance or showy options when i have to replace a part on my vehicle's so far all i can find is the ddm upper hose and the killer glass one i really like the killerglass piece am i missing any other replacement upper hose options

Ok my phone won't let me post a pic on this thread but i got it to load in my album take a look at itit my hand is on the upper radiator hose directly in front or thr engine and my finger is pointing to the fin on the fan shroud that it is rubbing cant see the spot it is rubbing gotta get your hand under the hose and feel for it

Obviosly this is the original hose it does have 53xxx miles on it but this shouldn't be happening im sure the 2.4 uses the same hose and the radiator mount would be in the same spot i can't be the only one with this problem i have search it and not found a thing unless something is missing from my car i did a car fax when i bought it it hasnt been wrecked

The 2.4 & 2.0 are not the same.
I well check mine out today and post back.

Mine is the same way! Bad cut under top rad.hose.

Just went over to check the 2.0 engine of lllfly...it also had the identical problem of the shroud cutting into the radiator hose...so I went to check my car...2.4 engine. It is a completely different set up and no problem exists...as noted in the past, LESS IS MORE.

Description of Radiators...the hose from the 2.0 begins on the right side and veers left...the hose on the 2.4 begins on the left and veers right....hoses on both cars are different sizes.

LLLFLY found the solution...Just file down the Fin that caused the problem. It is only plastic
