Redline Headlights on my SKY

So, I just wanted to share with you that I had the Redline lights (painted black on the inside vs. current clear/chrome) installed on my SKY yesterday.

I'm going to my parents today, so I will take the rest of the pics of my car there, which is by the camera that shares my pics from getting my windows tinted and my catback exhaust system being installed.

All in all, I think I'm done - unless I get a wild hair and think of doing a tower or sway bars.... but since I'm not taking too many corners, I really think I am just about done.

What a way to end my year. After spending somewhere in the amount of $10,000 in aftermarket products and labor, I will be entering into 2007 with my dream car, exactly the way I want it to be!!!!

Nice selection...

Love the rims and bet the Black-backed RedLine Headlamp assemby looks good too. Wonder if smoked fog/front turn lens are available and how they would look on your Sky? Post a front end picture and I'll try to photoshop them.

Nice, but redline looks without redline performance?

Wow that is a nice look.

I took you one photo and smoked the fog and turn lens. I really think it does look good. Put the original there so you can easily compare. Also added one of your other front pictures and did just the passenger side so you can also use to compare.

So if there are any venders out there looking for ideas, here is another one (again royalty fee free, but I wouldn't turn back an kick back sets - LOL).

Wow, that's a slap in the face. And anyone who knows me on the forum knows that I don't need any extra speed or performance. I'm perfectly happy with my CAI and cat back. My car already goes over the speed limit and I have never claimed to wanting a redline. The lights aren't what makes the performance. Many people "tint" their lights, but I preferred to spend hundreds of dollars for lights that were legal and painted dark inside. I'm not using redline badging or trying to match the dual exhaust, I would never try to "trick" someone into thinking my car is a Redline, I'm simply making my lights darker.

I wouldnt take it too personally on this forum--it is sometimes hard to tell a members tone from their posts--or what type of sense of humor they have ( if they have one ). I have been around here long enough to detect wisps of "base Sky" prejudice though. Ive been waiting patiently for a "2.4" for awhile and havent really felt the need for speed and feel any Sky-period-is worth driving. Just stay open to any and all comments made here--even the most loving families have their inbred members...

I gotta be honest... I think the look of the dark lights on a dark car is outstanding. And the chrome lights on Silver Pearl look incredibly right. If my color choices were reversed and the Red Line was Silver Pearl and the Normal SKY was Black Onyx, those lights would be swapped immediately.

In fact, one of the reasons that SPIRIT was ordered in Black Onyx was specifically to match the headlights. The dark lights do look nice on a dark car - Red Line or not.

Great idea...

Anyone with a silver pearl redline want the chrome headlights??? I'll trade you AND pay for all shipping costs involved.

Mine have had 3m clear bra on them since new so they are in perfect condition and will be for years to come.

Actually...I'll give you $100 extra for your black headlights
