Removal of GM chicklets

What's the best method to remove the GM chicklets without damage to the paint? They have been on the car for a few months now.

Thanks in advance.

or dental floss, something smooth that you can get it between the body and the chicklets. Take your time and they will come off pretty easy.

What about any residual glue/sticky stuff? I assume they used a double back tape of some kind. I mostly worry about the clear coat. Perhaps rubbing alcohol?

use some low heat...a heat gun might be too hot and could marr the finish, unless you have a variable one that goes low enough...

a hair dryer would work on it's highest heat setting and would not be too hot.

Just enough to warm up the steel, the badge and the adhesive so it releases easily. Use alcohol or other chemicals to clean off residue after, and if you are not sure of their affect on the finish test them on an inconspicuous area first and check it after 4-8 hours for any residual affects. For instance, the inside of the deck lid or the concealed top of the front quarter ( where it normally is concealed by the hood ).

this is in addition to the floss by the way. Make sure whatever type of filament you use has a soft, smooth, untextured surface. Texturized fishing line, such as braided poly, steel or firewire, etc, may scratch your car!

But on topic. Hair dryer should work with floss/fishing line. To remove reside, i've also read Goo Gone or similar products works wonders, but I do not know if it affects the paint, so be cautious...read the back of the bottle first before I have people trying to kill me I've actually been thinking of removing mine as well.

Tar remover, that stuff will take "anything" off and it is designed for purposes such as this. It will "melt" that glue off I'm sure and will not harm paint or clear coat--

I had the dealership remove mine on both cars BEFORE I drove it off the lot . They didnt mind at all. SkyBaby... just heat it up and use one of their handy tools and off they came.
