replace base radio w/ Monsoon or just upgrade?

So as the day draws near when I'll takle delivery of my Sky, I'm already thinking over things I might want to change in the not-too-distant future. The one I got came with the standard CD player, where I had planned on getting the single-disc Monsoon system.

So:
1) anyone know if it's possible for the dealer to replace the base system with the Monsoon, and if so, how much that might run?

2) or should I just keep the base, and possibly just upgrade components, add a subwoofer, etc? I liked the MP3 CD player that comes with Monsoon, since most of my music is already on MP3 CDs. Also, I'm not sure if a new radio could "hook in" to the steering wheel controls.

I'm sure I'll be happy with the base setup for awhile, just looking to future and wondering if anyone else on here knows about replacing the system with a saturn one or a 3rd party.
