Ride on 19'S...or 20's????

I am going to get new rims for the sky and i'd like to get 19's....is there anything i should know about the size, width, offset, tiresize, etc....

Any and all information will be helpfull....

also...i saw some pics of a sky on 20's....now thats alittle big but whats the info for that too???? hey...ya never know...

I was thinking about 19 in front and 20 in the back... I need to kno what the proper sizes would have to be

22's on a sky/solstice dont look right...that just says donk to me

id go with a 18/19 combo or 19/20 but nothing bigger

Gravana has a staggered wheel set (J2's) for the Sky and Sol. Wheels are 19" x 8.5" in the front and 19" x 9.5" in the back. Does anyone on the forum have these? I'm curious to know if the 9.5" width in the rear has any rubbing issues. My-Low-Sol posted on the Solstice Forum that he's got 18" x 9" inch wheels on his car and has noticed a "minor rubbing" issue on one of his rear tires. He also states that he's the only person to report this type of problem (using 18" x 9" wheels) and that the rubbing only occurred during "extreme cornering conditions". I haven't heard anyone comment on their experiences with 9.5" wheels. That being said, if anyone has a 9.5" wheel on their car, I'd really like to know how they're working out for you.

ksly, on the Soltice Forum, has some Nice looking wheels. I like 22's also. Here is a pic of his Sol.

Two words... "wagons ho!".... That's way too much rim and too little tire. Different stroke for different folks, or as they say out here, "yo, get ghetto wheels on da Sky"

Remember, the bigger you go the HARDER the ride and the less forgiving on potholes. 22" will not survive in NY. And because we sit soooo low, the line of sight at high speeds does not give you time to swerve to miss anything.

I will eventually replace my rims with 18 in front and wider 19's in the rear. I want to keep the ride and give myself half a chance with a pothole

I love my 19s. They look really nicely balanced. The ride is great.

By going with a 19/40 versus the stock 18/45 profile the outside diameter remains the same...
