Rotating SKY Screen Saver

Hey, for all you newbies out there... When us old-timers were waiting for the very first SKYs to be built and delivered (let alone our very own babies) we used to pass the time by playing with our Rotating SKY Screen Saver. It's still available on-line in the old Saturn "Future Vehicles" section - so go get it before they pull it down and it's gone forever...

Enjoy the intro of the "pre-production model" and then click on the DOWNLOADS link that will appear on the top of the page.

the flash intro works but can't download the screensavers, says they don't exist. Guess Saturn took them down.

I have the 1024x768 PC version... If you want it and send me a PM with your e-mail address I can send it to you... It's 4MB, so I can't link to it here or anything, it has to go by e-mail.

Got it, works like a charm!!! Even though I have my sky I still love to look at it on my pc when I 'm not driving it or staring at it in the garage!! Still have my poster of a sky up on my closet door in my room. It was there while I was waiting for mine to arrive!!

I know, totally corny!!

I have the screensaver of the Sky as it turns through the day. It still says in the corner about the auto show back in January. Up on my wall is the huge Sky poster of a silver pearl under a tree. Yes it is corny but it is my room for Sky stuff....Skip...

Thanks a ton for the screen saver! I really like it! I'm such a dork, I thought that it was a constantly turning Sky when I saw the original demo of it on the website. I didn't realize it slowly turns throughout the day -- now I want to check in on my computer to see the Sky and background change through the day.

Thanks for the screen saver JD. I checked it for viruses, and it is CLEAN. THe screen saver does however requests access to the internet on port 2012, so I blocked it. It seems to be working. Wonder what it type of data it was trying to send and to who? Saturn?

That was to check for "the latest news on SKY developments, announcements and appearances." I don't think that ever worked for me in terms of getting updated show info. But now you can see the car at the dealer (or in your driveway!) You don't have to check the schedule of what car shows the pre-production units will be appearing at!

I got the zip file. Thanks. But........ it rotates to a 7/8th quarter view from the right rear and that's as far as it goes. Any thoughts?

edit - disregard. the car moves REALLY slowly. Paint dries faster!!

It rotates slowly since it's a screen saver and meant to be up for a long time. I find that when I return to my desk it's at a nice random angle. Works for me!
