second time into limp mode in 2 weeks

UPDATE: Sorry for the delay but vacations and back to work backlog are the culprates ;-)

So after going into limp mode a second time in 2 weeks, the only codes that were again in the ECU are P2135 and P1516 all related to throttle position sensor.

So i pulled both connectors apart ( the one described in the sticky and the one right beside it connected to the throttle body i guess!) and sprayed some contact cleaner in them and we'll see if it happens again when i will floor it sometime this weekend ;-) I must admit, i don't like it when it happens. It runs really ****ty and i'm afraid to break something... If it doesn't work i will have to do the connector bypass described in the sticky.

Hey did you ever figure out whats going on? I seem to be having the limp mode problem too.

I'M BACK ! I put my car for storage for the past 5 months since i do not want to drive it in the snow and ice so i will see if that problem will come back again and now that i bought a code reader scanner it will be faster to post back.

Update: After cleaning the throttle connector and went a few time a wot and again today, the problem (limp mode) did not re-appear. that is good news ;-)

But one funny thing happened when i did the wot test today... when i tried it, i decided to do like i do with my BMW, to hold on the brakes for 1/2 a second while giving it gas just to raise the rpm a bit before and let go the brakes (automatic tranny) and i noticed that the rpm would not go up while i press the brakes. Again, i did this many time with my BMw and it just takeoff like crazy.

Is there in the sky some kind of a rev. limiter programmed whenever we hold on the brakes ???
