I'm another one of those tall folks here that would LOVE to sit further down inside the SKY, 2 inches lower would be pretty amazing. I would love to be able to sit further back also, same distance.

At one point I considered buying an additional drivers seat and just cutting down the foam in the bottom and in the back to give me a lowered seating position AND a further back position as well; what stopped me was that I realized that I would have issues with the leather cover sagging and it would probably look terrible...

Help would be appreciated in this area for us tall folks...

BA...

I would buy a gage cluster that sits on top of the stereo console like the Nissan 350Z has.

What's under the armrest? If there was even a half inch of space it would be nice to cut some of that away to at least make an indentation for a phone or ipod...

Also, as far as feeling alcantara... don't STi's and EVO's have alcantara seats? You could go check that out.
Either way, the previous owner put some alcantara trim in my 3000GT and it's really nice. It basically feels exactly like suede. I would agree that it's not as durable as leather so you may want to keep it from high wear areas, but man... It's nice.

The brand new ones do I think, the old one has some other material that was similar. Actually, there's a special edition Scion that has Alcantara seats as well.

No, sorry. That would require a complete design change to allow for the wires to be run.

Don't give up on replacing the factory vinyl with leather on the stock shifter, give it another try.

Having met R3DLIN3 aka Kendall, I understand why he would want to sit a little lower. I, however, am only 6'2" and the stock seat is OK. But, I have the saggy seat. It's been replaced once by the dealer and its sagging again. If you made a replacement seat cushion the same size as the original, only make it from better material, I would buy one. I saw your post on how to repair the seat. I would rather you make the cushion and all I have to do is swap them out.

If I do the seat lowering mod, this one would go in hand with it. it's looking to be next on the developement table considering the requests I've been getting and the help I've been offered.

Then I can take the towels out that I stuffed between the foam and the springs. If you remember, I mentioned my towel mod when we were at Fontana.

how bout a ipod and cell phone holder in one? i was kinda thinking about cutting out some of the silver painted section between the shifter and the radio(about 2" of space therek) and putting in a rubbery box thing that just sits in the hole, i say rubbery so it doesnt rattle when my phone is in it. i just dont know whats under that plastic and if its possible, that would be a perfect place for me cause my hand is always near the shifter so its easily accessible.

I'd like to see a vendor come up with a way to retrofit the tail lights, blacking out the chrome so it matches the headlight buckets. I've seen quite a few posts from people trying to figure out how to crack open the tail light case without damaging it, but I haven't seen a success story yet.

Have the padded center console and it is wonderfull when driving, and looks great.
But as a pasenger, the E-brake handle is a pain, How bout a covered, padded sleeve to make it more comfortable on long drives.

still have to put it somewhere when its not in use. it keeps falling out of my pocket due to the angle of the seat then it falls between the seat and the center console or falls straight back behind the seat. thats mainly why i need a cell phone holder, i hardly talk when i drive, id rather drive then talk .
