Mike,
Sorry to hear about your car - I had similar damage (long story short -christams lights - defective ladder - hubby lands on the hood). Took the car to Saturn of Coconut Creek - 3 days - @ $2G.
Sounds like that truck will be an easy one to spot even in congested SoFL - so be cool or it could end up costing you ALOT more.

We all feel bad for you Mike. I cannot make out the damage that well with the clouds and reflection off your shiny car!

there's a white scruff type sratch 8-9 inches long with a nasty dent in the middle of the scratch which lies on the crease, and a dent on the bar of the badge, could'nt get better pics and it was raining most of the day

Bummer!

I've been waiting for someone to try to zip into a parking spot without realizing I'm parked there. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure some day...

Check with the joint you were in to see if the have video recording of stuff outside. Can't hurt to ask and it might have pictures of the guy running up your hood.

That SUCKS!!

Bad Combo --Beer and Parking a low car near a high truck!

He probably looked out his rear view right over the top of your car.......now how the hell he missed it getting in his car is a story only the bar tender can tell!

Good Luck with the Repair and Re-Paint, find a good body shop hot and humid weather is the toughest to paint in! Make sure they bake the car!

While this sucks, I bet he didnt see and didnt know he hit your car.
The reason I say this is because I own a jeep on 37" tires.
The front axle R&P is pooched, so I dropped it off today to have that fixed.
My wife, in her Mini Cooper followed me to give me a ride home.
At one light, I looked in the rear view and drive mirror and I couldnt see her car at all.
If that was a parking lot, or street parking, I might have made an mistake of backing up too far and hitting it.
With a vehicle that big, if it's light contact, the large vehicle wont feel it and the driver might not event know.

Maybe you could talk to the person who hit you and they might end up being a stand up person and admit fault. Maybe they have paint on their truck from your sky???

Just a thought.

Check other buildings in the area, one of them may have it in the edge of a frame.

I set up a camera for a bookstore to watch a computer near the front of the building and it can see what happens on the street, so you never can tell what some other camera might have captured until you ask. Those darn cameras are everywhere and we don't hardly pay attention since they blend in the surroundings.

I was waiting in line at a Sonic drive-thru, and this Ford Excursion starts to back out of its parking space. I'm watching as it gets closer and closer to my car, hand on the horn button, and I scoot ahead in line. Then I see the Excursion come to a big stop as I drove past him, so I guess the idiot driving realized I was behind him. No harm, no foul, but people that drive those big azz vehicles need to be more aware of their surroundings. I'm sure he was clearly overcompensating for something...

Hey DM, you sure are having bad luck down there.. Didn't you also have your Sky keyed in some parking lot in MB when you got it? Looks like you need to paint a bulls-eye target practice symbol on the thing. Then maybe they'll leave ya alone.. Lessoned learned, don't ever park behind a red-necks pickem ups..especially if it has the fish license plate.. Also agree the pics are very difficult to see the damage. PS: my dealer has the body shop on site, and are very very good at fixing the sky. Let me know if you need the info for them, I can also give the body shops manager & assessors name if interested.

it could've easily been unnoticed with a truck that large. from the damage there was no impact just his truck sliding on your car so he likely didn't know. it takes alot to stop those big trucks, lots of low end torque and mass.

not defending him just my .02 as i own a 2007 1ton duramax.

definitly sucks though and i feel your pain
