Spring is here ......... New Wind Restrictor and Badging

Well it was a warm 72 degrees and sunny by me today, so I decided to break out the vinyl's I cut last fall. For those who thought I had enough badging on my SKY already, oh well, some of us like badging.

I think the Foose Logo is very nicely designed and looks good next to the rims. I am also a huge fan of Chip Foose. His designs are Simple, Elegant, and classic. I love the way he designed these Nitrous rims and figured let me pay homage to him.

I guess I am going for a racier look. The "sponsored" look is not new, but I have not seen this done on a SKY yet (outside of maybe RPI's GT). It set's my SKY apart and gives it that road rally look I love.

See what you think. And please do not use the word, Monstrosity

I also got an awesome new Wind Restrictor from Dynamic Auto Concepts - Your source for high-end Wind Restrictor™s for roadsters. They are awesome and Stephen killed himself on this thing and deserves many thanks. I have not done the wiring yet, that will be tomorrow and I will post ASAP. It took me a while to pull this artwork together, with help of an artist friend of mine. I think it came out really cool. It will light up red!

Hey Paul...I like that badging. The location is perfect, the design of the lettering, could not have been better. You picked the right coloring of the lettering also. If u would have done it in red, it would have been too much BLING...and as I told u during the luncheon, the Windscreen came out great....but I may have a windscreen that will top yours... Coming in before the Mecca Tour...Steve has to see if he can do it....but don't tell anyone. SHhhh!

Thanks Mike!

I cannot wait to see what you have cooking. I am surprised more people did not chime in with their opinions. I guess the weather has people more outside than in on the computer. Talk to you soon!

Perhaps their silence speaks volumes.
Those of us that actually look for/get sponsorship wouldn’t think of putting someone else’s name on the car if they didn't pony up cash, goods or services.
Doing that makes it more difficult for the rest of us to procure backing. -Joyce

Please take what I am going to reply as my view point, I am not trying to be nasty or rob you of your opinion, which I respect, so here it goes.

Well considering this is strictly a street car, and not at a track getting face time to people that care, the sponsorship idea is a moot point for me. I do not believe me driving my SKY around 6000 miles a year in the tri-state area will make it anymore difficult for people trying to find sponsorship for real racing. That is a bit of a stretch.

I am mocking a style that I happen to like, and paying homage to a master of design, who happens to have designed the wheels on my car. That is all nothing more. I am able to do vinyl at my place of work and did this out of some free test material I received.

And no I do not believe silence speaks in volumes. I believe plenty of people view it, like it, and do not say so. And I believe some people figure they having nothing nice to say, so do not say anything. I do not post on here just to get a compliment, to each his own, but I do get a kick out of the responses. I do not expect people to like all that I like. I post here to inspire and give idea's to people that are maybe unaware of what you can do with a simple piece of vinyl, or the idea of using a high heat engine paint rather than "caliper" paint to do calipers, etc.

Do I expect opinions when people view this, absolutely. DO I expect them all to be favorable, absolutely NOT. So thank you for your opinion and viewing my thread.

Thanks Celt. I am trying to break up the theme of my car from just "REDLINE" all over the place to something different. Hence the SIlver Bullet. A lot of mods I do are reversible. One day I will settle on a "Look". For now, I slap stuff on and see how I like it over time. I have a bunch of stuff coming for under the hood. Let's see how that flies!

Like my coworker Harley rider stated to me: "This car is like a Harley. It will bleed you if you let it." Happy bleeding.

I was originally going to go with the Colt 45 theme, but Stephen said 45 Horses would not all fit!!

Come on Man, Silver Bullet....you know, fast, the only thing that could kill a werewolf!! Helllllo!!
