Still The Center of Attention

Was enjoying a drive on Mulholland Drive over the weekend and stopped at an observation park. When I was returning to my car, I noticed a busload of people all around my car...managed to take a picture - but after most had returned to the tour bus.

Looks like our car is still the center of attention - and NOT the scenic views of the city

:-) I've only had mine for a little over a month but I'm still amazed at the heads that turn and the people that will shout over to me at stop lights wanting to know what kind of car it is or to tell me that they like it.

I know the feeling. When I would park between classic cars and american muscle at carshows and cruise-ins, people would flock to my car like I was giving it away.

When I was driving on to Fort Story in Virginia Beach this morning, one of the gate guards said he thought my car was a Jaguar...I laughed, and told him I'd never own a British piece of junk like that, lol! When the other guard told him it was a Saturn, he didn't believe him...

Here's a pic from last July at our Boeing car show. We couldn't have asked for a better deal.

I got stopped twice yesterday at 2 different gates where I work just because the gate guard thought I had a nice car and wanted to say so. Alot of "what kind of car is that?" Oddly enough more from the Harley rider next to me at the light than any other driver. Is there some special connection between bikes and convertibles?

Your right, I tell myself everyday that my sky is a nice car. Then I pay the same compliment to my Harley-Davidson Deuce that is parked next to it. I am a lucky guy......

Son and I took a drive out to the local lake (son driving). At a light, a car went by real slow checking out the car. My son says: "It's nice to have a car that makes people stare."

In your case, it's not the car it's you. You would of gotten the same response regardlesss of what you were driving, even in Vinny's car.

Must be. I was in line waiting for the ferry near where I live and a group of Harley riders got off their bikes and were checking out my car while waiting for the boat to make it back to the dock.

I think the connection is the 'open air' and 'freedom' aspect of it. Or maybe it's just that we both have about the same trunk space.

I've had mine over a year and it is really amazing how many people will still turn and point at my Sky. Could be the bright Yellow or just the handsome devil sitting behind the steering wheel.

The weather has been "frightful" here in the midwest recently! Gosh I'm really missing the smiles, finger pointing, ooos, ahhhs, and what kind of car is that ( if I'm riding my SKY!) OR the exclamation "nice Harley" when a comment is made about the customed to the max 1997 HD heritage springer I own (and baby!) I'm living a dream!!! Waiting for a break in the weather!! Puggs

I've learned not to pick my nose when I'm in the Sky.
Somebody is watching...
