Stop Light in Garage.

Some while back, I thought I saw somewhere on this forum where someone installed a traffic signal on his front garage wall and had it connected to a laser or some other device so that when he moved his car into the garage, the traffic light would shine first yellow, then red when the car was as far into the garage as it should be. Kinda an extreme version of the tennis ball on a string touching the windshield parking trick.

Can anyone advise me where to buy such a device. Or, maybe other tricky ideas for a garage parking position limiter?

You can go simple with something like this: Radar Parking Assistant for One Vehicle - Smarthome

Or you can go completely overboard with something like this:

How about just using the laser by itself? I have one that integrates with the garage door opener and I just pull the Sky up until the beam hits the center of the state inspection sticker and stop. Maxsa makes a dual laser parking aide that is a stand alone unit. You can find them on Amazon. Device is in the $30 range.

This is what you're looking for. I put one in our garage for the wife's CTS. It works great; you'll love it!
