Strange beeps??

Hello
I have a question about "beeps"
My SKY did a series of 3 shorts beeps this morning...Top is up..no-one around at all ...I can see it in the driveway...and keys hanging on thier hook.
Thats all it did ..those 3 short beeps for no apparent reason that I could see. And it didnt make any more beeps after that.
Any ideas?
I have been tramatized by that alarm system LOL! I have set it off myself a couple times and I hope its not malfunctioning on me..or something.
Thanks for any help..

Its disabled...there is a weld that came loose inside the fob...I need to get that fixed..but the spare doesn't work thats for sure...found that loose weld the hard way too
It WAS my main fob...but once I tried to open the car and it didn't open....top down and armed...well..I had to go all the way home to grab the spare key/fob...
THEN I read that had I reached in and opened the lock manually I would have had a couple minutes to turn the key before the alarms would have beeped. .the five alarm fire call.
But prior to this I had no idea the spare was loose inside and had set off alarms a couple times because that fob was not 100% working...thats why I say I have been traumatized..
I still double "click" the perfectly working fob I now have JUST to make sure the doors ARE open...
But still have NO idea why it did thoose 3 quick beeps this morning...it sounded like when someone reachs in when armed and the top is down..you know that content warning alarm...only the top was up..and no-one around for sure...

You mentioned a content alarm. Do you have an aftermarket system? If so, was the beeping about 30 second after you armed it?

Hi..no it is the same one that is standard..I believe the content alarm is for say..the nice days when you have the top down and the car is armed..no-one can lift your things out of the car.It will "beep, beep, beep" quickly to let the person know the car is alarmed.
This beeping this morning sounded like that...but the top was up.
And it was armed 8hrs before. this....wierd huh?

I often think that car has a mind of its own....

Huh. My car doesn't have that.

Good luck with the beeping- I have no clue!

Content alarm is set when you use the key fob to lock the doors.

It is NOT a perimeter system. It is a basic system that goes off when the doors are opened. It is designed to deter the "obvious" top down intrusions when someone unlocks the door by hand and opens it...which sets off the alarm. It will also work with the top up if you leave windows down or if they break the windows and then unlock it by hand.

It won't stop someone from reaching in, opening glove box, and popping the trunk. Well, I never tested it, but that's my understanding.

Raising windows can also help, since it deters the hop over, which won't set the alarm off. But if someone just wants to hop in for the hell of it, I would rather they go over the door than crawl over the trunk.

My modus operandi is to have NOTHING in the car that a thief would find worthy of stealing. And lock the glove box.

Hi Bogie....Thats good to know for sure...
But the starnge thing about this morning, was that,,because of all the rain up north here..the windows were shut up tight...and there was no one around the car at all...for sure cause it was day light out and I can see all around the car from my house window in my driveway... I was wide awake and was at the window in an instant...
