Thinking of getting a new Sky?

Keep an eye on the TV, Print, and an ear on Radio starting tomorrow night (8/19). GM will be announcing a HUGE event celebrating the 100 year anniversary of General Motors, of which the Sky will be participating.

I can't get into details, but it's a great thing for someone on the fence about getting a new Sky.

Welcome mf, we'll be listening.

I even googled GM and it was indeed formed on Sept 19, 1908, which means an Aug 19 ad kickoff would fit nicely with the build up. 100 years is always a nice milestone. Hope GM has some nice treats for us.....like maybe that GM tune they talked about at MeccaII. Can't help but wonder if all the latest rumor was to throw us off the track so they could surprise us.

Of course, if they do it right, the big blast will be some special incentives or what not.

From what I understand of the advertising campaign, there's no way you're going to miss this one....

Since it has hit yahoo News already, the same is going to happen for Saturn; GM Employee Discount For Everyone plus some additional rebates depending on the model...

This was last seen back in 2005 so GM and Saturn is hoping for a big successful sale period...

We only have two 2008 Skys left but we sure have plenty of Vues and Outlooks...

BA...

About how much of a discount does the Employee Price amount to on a Red Line? I know it depends on options, but ballpark?

This is what I was quoted for a carbon flash with auto and not a red line. $1500 in incentives that was already in effect. I don't know if that applies to all Skys or just the carbon flash. GM employee discount will be another $4036.15 for a total discount of $5536.15.

I was wrong. The total discount is $4036.15 which includes the $1500. Still a good deal.

There ya go :)

That's it - we weren't supposed to be talking about it, but essentially that's the deal that's going on- Employee Price for Everyone is back!

Depending on the price of the Sky you're interested in, you could be getting anywhere from $1800 - $2700 worth of additional discounts.

The campaign, as announced, will be running until 9/2/08. There's no guarantee they won't extend it, but there's no guarantee they will... If you're going to buy a Sky, now is the time. There's still a number on the ground, so you can still get what you want. Waiting will only decrease the chances of getting what you really want, so don't!

And, obviously, I'm a retailer.
